23/11 The Cost of Israel to Americans

The Cost of Israel to Americans

Many of the most serious dangers facing Americans today stem from our “special relationship” with Israel

by The Council For The National Interest

Our uniquely massive support for Israel has cost trillions of dollars and multitudes of lives. It has diminished our moral standing in the world, lessened our domestic freedoms, and exposed us to unnecessary and growing peril.

The majority of Americans – as well as our diplomatic and military experts – oppose this unique relationship. Yet, the lobby for Israel continues to foment policies that are disastrous for our nation and tragic for the region.

If we are to have Middle East policies that serve the national interest, that represent the highest values of our founders and our citizens, and that work to sustain a nation of honor, decency, security, and prosperity, then it is essential that all Americans become active and informed. Below are the facts:

American taxpayers give Israel over $8 million per day

(See report from Congressional Research Service of the Library of Congress):

This to a nation, at its peak, of 7.4 million people – smaller than New Jersey. Israel has received more American money than any other nation on earth. It is more than we give to all the starving countries of Africa put together.

From 1950-53 Israel’s financial influx from the U.S. was one billion dollars; Israel at that time had 1.6 million inhabitants

In the past ten years, American taxpayers have given Israel approximately $200,000 per family of five.

This costs us even more:

US aid to Israel is given in a lump sum at the beginning of the fiscal year.
Since the US is operating at a deficit, this means that we borrow the money, give it to Israel, and then pay interest on it long after it is gone.

Israel, on the other hand, makes interest from it. Congress has mandated that Israel’s aid be immediately deposited to an interest bearing account with the Federal Reserve Bank.

Additional financial costs: $3 trillion

About $1.5 billion to Egypt and $843 million to Jordan is dispensed annually under arrangements made to induce these countries’ friendly relations with Israel.
Billions of dollars have been lost to U.S. manufacturers because of the Arab boycott engendered by Israeli actions.
Enormous and continuing costs to U.S. consumers of petroleum, which surged to such heights that it set off a world-wide recession during the Arab oil boycott imposed in reaction to U.S. support of Israel in the 1973 war.
There are a multitude of such costs.

A report by an economist commissioned by the Army War College in 2003 to analyze the situation in full found that the total cost to Americans over Israel’s 60+ years has been $3 trillion.

Americans have a higher unemployment rate than Israel and 10 million families are reportedly sliding into foreclosure; yet Americans continue to give tax money to Israel.

On top of this are the costs of the Iraq war: hundreds of thousands of lives & over $3 trillion

The costs of the the Iraq war, which was promoted by Israel partisans, are almost incalculable and are still growing.

The war added trillions of dollars to the federal debt, and this doesn’t include future health care and disability payments for veterans.

Economists report that the global financial crisis was due, at least in part, to the Iraq war.

The same parties are pushing for a similar attack on Iran.

The Lobby for Israel overrules US experts

U.S. policies in the Middle East rarely reflect U.S. interests and values.

Instead, over the objections of a multitude of State Department and Pentagon analysts, they are largely driven by a variety of factors:

1. Special-interest lobbying. Fortune Magazine rates one of the many lobby organizations working on behalf of Israel, AIPAC, as the second most powerful lobby in Washington. Many analysts consider the pro-Israel interest group the most powerful lobby in our nation.

Senator William J. Fulbright aimed to bring a little more knowledge, a little more reason, and a little more compassion into world affairs and thereby increase the chance that nations will learn at last to live in peace and friendship — (wiki)
By the late 1960s Senator William Fulbright found that U.S. aid to Israel was being secretly funneled back to lobbyists in the U.S., who would use it to lobby for still more U.S. money to Israel.

The U.S. justice department and other agencies have often attempted to enforce U.S. laws

2. Israel partisans in the U.S. government and media: The efforts of a growing number of individuals with close ties to Israel (some are neoconservatives, others are neoliberals) who often hold key positions in U.S. administrations, the State Department, Pentagon, and media.

The US Ambassador to Israel stated that all US Middle East policies are predicated on their effect on Israel. This is a highly inappropriate practice and one that is replicated in no other region. US policies should be based on American interests and priorities, not those of a foreign nation.

3. Campaigns by pro-Israel funders to engender Islamophobia: to create fear and hatred of Muslims, a highly diverse population of 1.5 billion people whose faith is one of the three Abrahamic religions and who worship the same God as Christians and Jews.

4. Israeli-centric news reporting by the U.S. media consistently misportrays the current situation and the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

5. Hollywood movies and television shows, which often play a significant role in shaping attitudes and beliefs. These shows, frequently produced by individuals with ties to Israel, depict Arabs and Muslims almost always negatively, Jews and Israelis almost never negatively, and Christians both positively and negatively.

[Interestingly, the oil and weapons industries are not responsible for our relationship with Israel. In fact, at times these industries have lobbied against U.S. support for Israel, which undermines their ability to do business in the region.]

Jonathan Pollard — Israel granted Pollard citizenship in 1995, while publicly denying, until 1998, that he was an Israeli spy. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has voiced particularly strong support for Pollard, visiting the convicted spy in prison in 2002.
Israel promotes its own interests, which is the right of any nation.
However, this is done at the expense of Americans who fund it.

There is considerable evidence that Israel is not the close ally many Americans believe it to be:

The GAO has reported that Israel conducts the most intense spying operation against the U.S. of any of our presumed allies.
Intelligence experts consider Jonathan Pollard the most damaging spy in US history. For years Israel denied any connection to Pollard; now it actively lobbies for his release.
Israeli forces have killed and injured numerous Americans. Rarely, if ever, have there been significant consequences.
Israel has stolen U.S. technology, and passed it on to other nations, some of them U.S. adversaries.
The Israeli attack on the USS Liberty
In 1967 Israeli forces attacked a U.S. Navy ship, the USS Liberty, killing or injuring over 200 American servicemen.

An independent commission in 2003 by extraordinarily high-ranking U.S. military officers and officials found that

Israel had commited an act of war against the United States,

the US President had recalled rescue aircraft, and that

the President had ordered a cover-up on the incident.

These statements, recorded in the Congressional Record, were not reported by U.S. news media.

Israeli ethnic expansionism has caused regional misery, instability, and continual conflict.

Israeli aggression (Israel initiated all of its wars except one) and its violations of international law, human rights conventions, and UN resolutions, have created enormous hostility against it throughout the world.

The US, as Israel’s number one funder, is increasingly imperiled by hostility created by Israeli actions.

Israel’s possession of nuclear weapons poses considerable danger both to the region itself and far beyond.

it has refused to sign the nuclear proliferation treaty and the British American Security Information Council has found that in Israel “nuclear weapons are being assigned roles that go well beyond deterrence.”

While US intelligence agencies have so far found no indication that Iran is developing nuclear weapons, Israel’s possession of these weapons, combined with its history of aggression, create a compelling motivation for other nations in the region to acquire them for deterrence.

Israel’s war crimes in Gaza
Israel frequently uses American weapons in violation of US laws, killing and maiming large numbers of civilians, women, and children.

Since this is funded by American tax payers, and shielded by the U.S. government, it is causing dangerous hostility toward the U.S.

Damage to civil liberties and the American way of life

This dangerous and unnecessary peril (diplomats note that before Israel the US had no enemies in the region) has caused Americans to tolerate dangerous infringements on our liberty and violations of our Constitution.

This is causing deep damage to our character as a nation.

Deeply intrusive and potentially carcinogenic airport scanners, offensive “pat-downs” of our women and children, abrogations of our nation’s most fundamental legal principles are just a few of the direct and indirect results of our Israel policies.

A secure, prosperous, and honorable America
We would be far safer and our nation far healthier by heeding the wisdom of George Washington, the father of our nation:

“…nothing is more essential than that permanent, inveterate antipathies against particular nations, and passionate attachments for others, should be excluded; and that, in place of them, just and amicable feelings towards all should be cultivated. The nation which indulges towards another a habitual hatred or a habitual fondness is in some degree a slave.”

The Council for the National Interest Foundation (CNIF) is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides information and analysis on the Middle East, its relationship to the United States, and about policy formation regarding this region. CNI seeks to encourage and promote a U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East that is consistent with American values, protects our national interests, and contributes to a just solution of the Arab-Israeli conflict. It is CNI’s goal to restore a political environment in America in which voters and their elected officials are free from the undue influence and pressure of foreign countries and their partisans.

I’m waiting to see how many people will consider you a neo-Nazi for posting this. The First Amendment in this country often doesn’t extend to criticism of Israel.

But then YOU didn’t have family killed in the Holocaust, now did you? It is so easy to forget WHY Israel stands today…all we see is what we want to see…or read! Have you ever BEEN there, any of you?? I have and not because of my half Jewish background but because I, as a Metaphysician was teaching there for 5 months, Spiritual Development, and I can tell you this…the People do not make the rules…the people, in my classes were all religions and all backgrounds, some intermarried, (Arab and Jew, Christian and Arab or Jew) and some were even conscientious objectors who never went to war, to their great peril personally. I can also tell you, if you go there, live there…it is a place of great beauty and by the way…the People are all People like you and me. Do NOT believe the hype that the press and all the anti semetics put out about Israel…her people, all faiths, all backgrounds are beautiful, caring, loving among themselves, no, maybe not all but the majority (and is any country in the world loving amongst all of their people??)…POLITICS in ALL Countries in this World are usually filled with egomaniacs, liars, spinners of tales who want to dominate and slander others for their own greed and personal power. Just wake up and go there before you judge it!

Does a common US Citizen knows truth about Israel and its existence? In my personal opinion either they are under tremendously influenced by American mainstream media’s propaganda OR perhaps a common US citizen is not interested to know the truth because other media channels such as this are not exposed to them.

I guess my only response to this is that the whole Syria/Iran thing sure seems to have more pro’s for Israel than it does for the US. In fact I cannot think of a single reason why the US is meddling in Syria/Iran at all, other than at the behest of Israel.

Sounds a lot like money laundering ….

This letter tells it is not Israel but our government and the lack of serving the US Citizens

(OWS) Paula or Lisa, People want to help

If you work for the state send my letters to your boss, the governor. If you are the ones that ask me to stop then send the letters to the police, secret service or a politician. If you are Frank Guinta then you are an elected official so stop telling me to call your office and in the next line tell me there is nothing that you can do.

Your job is to represent the people, not just those citizens that can benefit your career. I did as Paula suggested and went to the places that she suggested. They were interested in helping me for a payment. My problem is just like I explained to them and yes the VA has the same problem.

I have had my PTSD and TBI since I came back in seventy-four. The VA uses drugs to quit the patient but does not address the disorder. The VA and these places Paula asked me to try have councilors that never served in the military yet alone died every second of every day or kill others with out emotion, as it is your duty.

Everyone should be asking the local newspapers across the USA why they are not printing a opinion letters of government wrongs. My problem is that my VA medical has been stopped to stop my writing about government wrongs. It was restarted but to fluff my medical file with trivial appointments incase of an investigation. The government controls my money so cripple me by paying for counseling that I cannot afford.

There can be no reason in the world that a citizen is the subject of government retribution for writing that the NH Supreme Court violated the Constitution to protect a brother Judge/attorney in direct defiance of every meaning or our highest law the constitution.

The Madbury NH selectmen buttering their own pocketbook on the back of local citizens cannot be allowed at any time. The NH SC refusing to hear the case. A cover up by the NH SC can never be tolerated. I tell Frank and everyone else so many US Military over the history of the USA gave their lives to prevent this ever happening in the USA. I will not let what they did be in Vain. Censoring the words of the people is doing just that, being in vain.

The VA, Government and everyone else recognizes my medical disabilities received some combat related all during my tour as a US Marine. My medical was stopped and elected officials like Frank have to ask what can they do. The elected officials are out of control and the biggest example is Governor Lynch making me pay money to speak with him of government wrongs. The governor takes my payment and never does speak to me. I still have the receipt.

This is the people’s USA and we must stop the government wrongs that have to be why the Occupy Wall Street should be an eye opener.

You can censor my letters but the movement has started around the world. It is the people that matter not the government or wall street.

It is well known that the jews control our nation and goverment and steal us blind, yet we just take it year after year without an action to cure this problem.
One must ask, are we that stupid and ignorant or simply cowards to speak up?

We can thank Gordon and the VT that at least there are a few voices in the darkness who say we had enough, BASTA!!!

A good article, but if the Council for the National Interest Foundation wants America to free itself from Israel they need to show the evidence that Israel did 911. They need to call for a government investigation of Israel and 911.

The “call” has been and continues to be made by multiple, professional, dedicated sources. Some only ask for the “investigation” knowing that “upfront” accusations will stall, if not defeat their efforts. A mandated, ordained, and sanctified “new investigation” would be a true gift. While the “forces” that have and continue to control the “public perception” remain in control, only those of us in the “real world” will continue to “get-it”.

The “power” that THEY wield is based on a sinister understanding of the “driving force” behind the majority of humanity. Don’t rock my boat with uncomfortable thoughts, change, and the need for critical thought. Where is the fricking TV guide. Aaaah, now that is better.

A primitive but ALL powerful blockade to the advancement OF the TRUTH.

There are around 190 nations in the world and we give to a 150 of them. In all fairness who would CNIF omit? All of them or just the hated Israel.
Maybe Debbie Manon would like to reply. If it were all of them it would save us $20 billion would it not? lets see 8 million X 365 is about 2 billion 8 hundred million I believe. A couple of Million short but who is counting.
And how about the Palestinians we’ve given none in military aid but
$400.4 million have been appropriated for economic aid to the Palestinians and $100 million for support of PA police training, etc. for FY2010. The U.S. also provided just over $61.5 million (as of February 13, 2009) in emergency humanitarian aid That was in 2009 and 2010. It has increased to a new higher level this year. Would the CNIF want to stop that also?
I’m not much into paying countries to like us. I am deadly against paying countries to hate us. Afghanistan and the Palestinians would like to see us all dead.
Israel is the only ally we have in the middle east , such as it is. So we have at least one ally there might be worth the money.
What I see here on VT. Is a whole lot of Israel hatters. More than I’ve seen any place else. Every day it’s the same. Some writer whether it be Duff or someone else is bashing Israel. Let me tell you folks there are a lot more countries that hate us and want to see us dead. Why don’t VT Bash them for awhile.

We know that the purpose of the USAid is, to achieve military and geopolitical objectives, not to reduce poverty and has always been, wherever in the world it is given.

A band of corrupt politicians, diplomats, businessmen and corporations
all have their greedy hands in the till and have full control over USAID.

Oh, boo hoo! Why is everyone picking on poor Israel? Why not pick on all those countries that hate the US?
Well, for a start, most of those countries hate us because we are in there meddling in their affairs to keep Israel safe and fight its wars for her, against the growing number of enemies because of what she does.

Do you have some other reason why everyone bashes Israel or hates that shitty little country? I am absolutely an Israel-hater, as well as hating any other country that is racist. Moreover, I hate that Israel has subverted our politicians to take my hard-earned tax dollars and give it to them so that they can continue their racist, vile, hateful, apartheid policies, while spreading Islamophobia here in the US.

We don’t hate you for who you are. We hate you for what you do.
So spare us the sob stories.

I find Ms. Cohen remarks, a minor version of the usual “you have not been through what we Jews have suffered” No argument there but why are you telling us that and why do you demand and expect from us that Special Relationship which our government has been extracting from our people as a result of bribery and blackmail in many cases. It was good will and charity that prompted this nation to help you, you turned it into an obligation. In general terms the world does not owe you or any one else a living, wealth, land and perfect security. We do nor blame you, but we have a right to tell our government, “we cannot afford it any more, time to take care of this nation. And you are criticizing us for doing that? I help many people and charitable groups, my upbringing tells me “help your neighbour” does your religion tell you to help only your own? Because every Jewish solicitation I get all say ” to help Jews” I get those solicitation because I send money to a Jewish Hospital in the USA that helped a Christian child and as a thank you a lovely Jewish calender that asked nothing in return. All my other charity say “to:help needy people all over the world”. Those are the cultural difference that often divide people not anti Semitism or racism.

      SUCH AS?

That is why Hillary Clnton is on record as saying that if anything ever happened to them they would put the country that did it back to the imddle ages. Though that might be hard if they are living there already!

Time to take the tea towel from your head it must be falling down over your eyes! 170 Nobel prizes for chemistey, biotechnology, physics including how to split atoms! etc., etc., yawn!

During these crucial years, a number of the most prominent European scientists, especially physicists, immigrated to the United States, where they would do much of their most important work; these included Hans Bethe, Albert Einstein, Enrico Fermi, Leó Szilárd, Edward Teller, Felix Bloch, Emilio Segrè, and Eugene Wigner, among many, many others. American academics worked hard to find positions at laboratories and universities for their European colleagues.

After German physicists split a uranium nucleus in 1938, a number of scientists concluded that a nuclear chain reaction was feasible and possible. In a letter to President Franklin Roosevelt, written by Leó Szilárd and signed by Albert Einstein, warned that this breakthrough would permit the construction of “extremely powerful bombs.” This warning inspired an executive order towards the investigation of using uranium as a weapon, which later was superseded during World War II by the Manhattan Project the full Allied effort to be the first to build an atomic bomb. The project bore fruit when the first such bomb was exploded in New Mexico on July 16, 1945.

The development of the bomb and its use against Japan in August 1945 initiated the Atomic Age, a time of anxiety over weapons of mass destruction that has lasted through the Cold War and down to the anti-proliferation efforts of today. Even so, the Atomic Age has also been characterized by peaceful uses of nuclear power, as in the advances in nuclear power and nuclear medicine.

Along with the production of the atomic bomb, World War II also saw the entrance of an era known as “Big Science” with increased government patronage of scientific research. The advantage of a scientifically and technologically sophisticated country became all too apparent during wartime, and in the ideological Cold War to follow the importance of scientific strength in even peacetime applications became too much for the government to any more leave to philanthropy and private industry alone. This increased expenditure on scientific research and education propelled the United States to the forefront of the international scientific community—an amazing feat for a country which only a few decades before still had to send its most promising students to Europe for extensive scientific education.

The first US commercial nuclear power plant started operation in Illinois in 1956. At the time, the future for nuclear energy in the United States looked bright. But opponents criticized the safety of power plants and questioned whether safe disposal of nuclear waste could be assured. A 1979 accident at Three Mile Island in Pennsylvania turned many Americans against nuclear power. The cost of building a nuclear power plant escalated, and other, more economical sources of power began to look more appealing. During the 1970s and 1980s, plans for several nuclear plants were cancelled, and the future of nuclear power remains in a state of uncertainty in the United States.

Meanwhile, American scientists have been experimenting with other renewable energy, including solar power. Although solar power generation is still not economical in much of the United States, recent developments might make it more affordable.

[edit] Telecom and technologyFor the past 80 years, the United States has been integral in fundamental advances in telecommunications and technology. For example, AT&T’s Bell Laboratories spearheaded the American technological revolution with a series of inventions including the light emitted diode (LED), the transistor, the C programming language, and the UNIX computer operating system. SRI International and Xerox PARC in Silicon Valley helped give birth to the personal computer industry, while ARPA and NASA funded the development of the ARPANET and the Internet.

      [edit] The “Space Age”
The Space Shuttle takes off on a manned mission to space.Running almost in tandem with the Atomic Age has been the Space Age. American Robert Goddard was one of the first scientists to experiment with rocket propulsion systems. In his small laboratory in Worcester, Massachusetts, Goddard worked with liquid oxygen and gasoline to propel rockets into the atmosphere, and in 1926 successfully fired the world’s first liquid-fuel rocket which reached a height of 12.5 meters. Over the next 10 years, Goddard’s rockets achieved modest altitudes of nearly two kilometers, and interest in rocketry increased in the United States, Britain, Germany, and the Soviet Union.

As Allied forces advanced during World War II, both the American and Russian forces searched for top German scientists who could be claimed as “spoils” for their country. The American effort to bring home German rocket technology in Operation Paperclip, and the bringing of German rocket scientist Wernher von Braun (who would later sit at the head of a NASA center) stand out in particular.

Expendable rockets provided the means for launching artificial satellites, as well as manned spacecraft. In 1957 the Soviet Union launched the first satellite, Sputnik I, and the United States followed with Explorer I in 1958. The first manned space flights were made in early 1961, first by Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin and then by American astronaut Alan Shepard.

From those first tentative steps, to the 1969 Apollo program landing on the Moon, to today’s partially reusable Space Shuttle, the American space program has brought forth a breathtaking display of applied science. Communications satellites transmit computer data, telephone calls, and radio and television broadcasts. Weather satellites furnish the data necessary to provide early warnings of severe storms. Global positioning satellites were first developed in the US starting around 1972, and the first complete installation of 24 satellites were in place by 1994.

[edit] Medicine and health careAs in physics and chemistry, Americans have dominated the Nobel Prize for physiology or medicine since World War II (compare the Evolution of Nobel Prizes by country). The private sector has been the focal point for biomedical research in the United States, and has played a key role in this achievement. As of 2000, for-profit industry funded 57%, non-profit private organizations such as the Howard Hughes Medical Institute funded 7%, and the tax-funded National Institutes of Health funded 36% of medical research in the U.S.[2] However, by 2003, the NIH funded only 28% of medical research funding; funding by private industry increased 102% from 1994 to 2003.[3]

The National Institutes of Health consists of 24 separate institutes in Bethesda, Maryland. The goal of NIH research is knowledge that helps prevent, detect, diagnose, and treat disease and disability. At any given time, grants from the NIH support the research of about 35,000 principal investigators Five Nobel Prize-winners have made their prize-winning discoveries in NIH laboratories.

NIH research has helped make possible numerous medical achievements. For example, mortality from heart disease, the number-one killer in the United States, dropped 41 percent between 1971 and 1991. The death rate for strokes decreased by 59 percent during the same period. Between 1991 and 1995, the cancer death rate fell by nearly 3 percent, the first sustained decline since national record-keeping began in the 1930s. And today more than 70 percent of children who get cancer are cured.

With the help of the NIH, molecular genetics and genomics research have revolutionized biomedical science. In the 1980s and 1990s, researchers performed the first trial of gene therapy in humans and are now able to locate, identify, and describe the function of many genes in the human genome.

Research conducted by universities, hospitals, and corporations also contributes to improvement in diagnosis and treatment of disease. NIH funded the basic research on Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), for example, but many of the drugs used to treat the disease have emerged from the laboratories of the American pharmaceutical industry; those drugs are being tested in research centers across the country.

Mass immigration into America – Americans now see the damage of that jewish policy!

      Dream on!!

The god damn jews have invented everything of any importance to America!

      Zionist Spies Against America

      Pictured here: J. Robert Oppenheimer

Out of the dozens of American spies active from the 1930s-onward, the overwhelming majority were Jewish-by-race. Only a few — e.g. Whitaker Chambers, Alger Hiss, Elizabeth Bentley — were non-Jews.

Kindly note that this list below is just the tip of the Jewish spy iceberg. There were scores of top-echelon Jewish spies in America from the 1930s-onward, actively spying for the Soviet communists. In fact, we own a large list of those spies. So why not list them all here? Some were never convicted in a court of law, some were apparently-Jewish but not provably-Jewish, etc. As we get more concrete information about Jewish spies, we will list more names.

Julius Rosenberg; electrical engineer; transferred U.S. atomic secrets to the Soviets, sentenced to death and executed in June 1953.

Ethel Greenglass Rosenberg; wife of Julius; transferred U.S. atomic secrets to the Soviets, sentenced to death and executed in 1953.

David Greenglass: brother of Ethel Rosenberg; aided the Rosenbergs; was a Los Alamos machinist; passed drawings of atomic implosion lens to Harry Gold.

Morton Sobell; former employee of the Navy’s Bureau of Ordnance; radar engineer and former classmate of Rosenberg.

      J. Robert Oppenheimer; top U.S. nuclear scientist; was in charge of the Manhattan Project; gave the Soviets atomic secrets.

Leo Szilard; worked with Oppenheimer on the Manhattan Project.

Bruno Pontecorvo; born in Italy; emigrated to Oklahoma in 1940.

Morris Cohen [aka Peter Kroger]; spy recruiter; assisted the Rosenbergs; entered U.S. Army in 1942.

Lona Cohen; [aka Kroger]; wife of Morris Cohen.

Robert Soblen; fled to Israel; committed suicide while being extradited back to America in 1962.

Jack Soble; head of a U.S. spy ring which included ‘Agent Frost’; members of the ring
      were indicted/arrested in 1957.

Victor Perlo; the CPUSA’s [American Communist party] official economist; was on the War Production Board.

Lee Pressman; Congress of Industrial Organizations [CIO] lawyer; Communist party member.

Jacob Albam; an associate of Jack Soble.

Nathan Gregory Silvermaster; see this powerful quote from a February 25, 2000 FBI public information press release, re: its public Electronic Reading Room: “Nathan Silvermaster Group — 1,951 pages; Nathan Silvermaster was a leader of a Soviet espionage ring. This espionage investigation from 1945 to 1959 uncovered Soviet placed agents working within the U.S. Government. The case – titled Gregory, using the middle name of Silvermaster – exposed 27 individuals in the Silvermaster ring who gathered information from at least six Federal agencies to turn over to the Soviets. No indictments for espionage were returned against any subjects in the Gregory case by any Grand Jury; however, a Grand Jury did return an indictment against Alger Hiss for perjury.” That Mr. Silvermaster oversaw 27 spies — and that the FBI says so regardless of no indictments — is significant.

      V. J. Jerome [aka Isaac Romaine]; the theoretician of the CPUSA.

      Alexander Trachtenberg; member, CPUSA.

      Israel Amter; a CPUSA leader.

“Gus Hall” [Arvo K. Halberg]; U.S. Communist Party chairman; defendant in Foley
      Square trial of American Communists.

Philip Bart; general manager of the Daily Worker newspaper.

“Carl Winter” [Philip Carl Weissberg]; defendant in Foley Square trial of American Communists.

Joel Barr; pal of Julius Rosenberg; electrical engineer; worked on military radar at the U.S. Army Signal Corps lab at Fort Monmouth; recruited by Rosenberg; fled to Czechoslovakia, he assumed fake identity.

Harry Dexter White [real name Weiss]; Deputy Secretary of the Treasury under Henry Morgenthau; helped create the World Bank.

Alfred Sarant; pal of Barr; electrical engineer; worked on military radar at the U.S. Army Signal Corps lab at Fort Monmouth; recruited by Rosenberg; fled to Czechoslovakia and assumed fake identity.

Harry Gold [real name Goldodnitsky]; chemist; part of 1940s Fuchs-Gold spy ring.

Theodore Hall [real name Hallsberg, also claimed Holtzberg]; worked with Enrico Fermi and J. Robert Oppenheimer; “was the first to provide the Soviets with the crucial information that helped them build the bomb.” [1]

Yakov [Jacob] Golos; chief organizer of spying action through the American Communist party.

Armand Hammer; millionaire; Communist; head of Occidental Petroleum; one of the world’s only millionaire/Communists.

Samuel Dickstein; U.S. Congressman from New York. Recently-released Soviet records revealed his spying.

Jonathan Pollard; U.S. Navy intelligence analyst; passed classified material to Israel — where he is a national hero due to his spying actions.

  3. Rant all you like, it just proves my point, the fact is they are still trying to put ONE bomb together in Iran and that tells me everything I need to know.

Did you happen to notice that the so called “Arab Spring” has only come about when these countries stopped blaming Israel for their corrupt rotten, to the core, dirty little dictatorships and decided to go and deal with their own even if it had to be with their bare hands and blood.

If they had taken that approach 30 years ago so much the better but they allowed themselves to be distracted by those who sought to hide behind the Jews and the myriad shit stirring apologists wheeled out to support the thesis that if only Israel would disappear we would all live happily ever after.

A laughable proposition. If Israel is such a bad place how come they all want what Israel already has and of late want it so badly that they are prepared to die for it on the streets of their own countries? Is it because the dictatorships were a fate worse than death. When people have nothing to loose they loose it. Another tactic tried was to export jihadism to the West when the Taliban blew 5000 year old statues off the side of a mountain in Afghanistan it sent out a message to the rest of the world yes it took 9/11 before the Americans sent planes and weapons to punish them but that just shows sleeping giants are better left alone and that demolishing buildings in New York with over a 150 different nationalities in them was not such a bright idea.

When I hear all the windbags talking about the dirty jews, the zionist plots, what I really hear are dangerous cowardly, failed losers, the sort that went around on kristalnacht arresting their neighbours before getting jobs later constructing gas chambers. A bunch of genocidal miscreants responsible for the deaths of millions Jews but also millions of their own sons and daughters. Similarly, the people of Iran will do the same unless they remove hate filled bi-polar Ahmajinedad relentlessly leading his people to certain catastrophe.
