Breivik and the Insanity of War

Breivik and the Insanity of War

Wednesday, July 27, 2011 – by Staff Report

Norway: Anders Behring Breivik insane, his lawyer says … The lawyer defending Anders Behring Breivik, who admitted carrying out Friday’s mass killings in Norway, says his client is probably insane. However he added it was too early to say Mr. Breivik would plead insanity. The bombing in Oslo and shooting spree on a nearby island killed 76 people. Mr. Breivik is facing terrorism charges. Police are considering also charging him with crimes against humanity, which carry a possible 30-year sentence, a prosecutor has said. – BBC

Dominant Social Theme: The man is a murderous “right-wing” nut who acted alone.

Free-Market Analysis: The horror of Anders Breivik’s actions cannot be explained away. To shoot 70 or so young people at point blank range using dum-dum bullets for nearly two hours to make a rhetorical point (he issued a 1,500 page manifesto on line which now has been taken down) is not in our view a sane act. Of course the action’s horribleness would be just as powerful were it to have focused on older or elderly people. A life is a life.

Nonetheless, his lawyer, Geir Lippestad, told reporters: “This whole case indicated that he is insane.” He reportedly said his client believed that he was in a war and that he would be vindicated in 60 years’ time. “Mr. Lippestad added that Mr. Breivik had said he was part of an anti-Islam network that has two cells in Norway and several more abroad.”

The Norwegian police and researchers don’t believe there are other cells. Breivik’s actions are those of a single “lone nut.” But insane or not, Breivik will spend a long time behind bars. A new charge of “crimes against humanity” may be brought against him. “Police spokesman Sturla Henreiksboe told AFP news agency: ‘Police have so far cited… the law on terrorism but seeking other charges has not been excluded.'”

The reaction to the shootings and bombings in Norway has been powerful. On Monday up to 250,000 people participated in a public display of mourning. They raised flowers to commemorate the dead.

And yet … one wonders of course how much knowledge there is about “lone nut” shootings in Norway. Almost every time one of these incidents occurs, there are plenty of doubts (in conspiratorial circles anyway) as to whether or not the individual acted alone or whether Western Intel agencies were somehow involved.

Now, wearily, the same suspicions have surfaced about Breivik. He is the son of a Norwegian ambassador, spent time in Britain and his manifesto is strangely pro-British and apparently does not mention much about Norway. In other words, it doesn’t seem like the writings of someone who was such a staunch nationalist. It seems, perhaps, as if it were written for him. Here’s more on Breivik from Paul Joseph Watson at Inforwars:

Breivik’s financial fortunes certainly took a turn for the better in 2006. According to his tax filings, which are publicly available on the Internet for all Norwegian citizens (Breivik’s have since been deleted but the cache remains), the gunman went from making virtually nothing to an income of over 600,000 krona (roughly $116,000 dollars) from 2006-2007.

As more details emerge about Breivik’s activities, his connections with London and his assertion that he was merely one of at least three “cells,” it’s obvious that a wider plot involving more people was responsible for last week’s carnage. This dovetails with reports from eyewitnesses who said they heard gunshots coming from two different parts of the island and saw another gunman with dark hair. Whether or not an incident that took place in south west Norway on Saturday night, in which a man was shot in the head by two men wearing military uniforms, is connected to the attacks remains to be seen.

However, Norwegian authorities and the establishment media are actively discouraging the possibility of a wider plot by focusing solely on Breivik and largely disregarding ample evidence of others being involved, thereby ensuring the “business and political leaders” the gunman said he conspired with remain under the radar.

We’ve already pointed out recently how many of these deeply violent – nation-shaking – acts are suspicious and seem always to include government coverups of some sort. In the US, the FBI is apparently instrumental in ensuring the coverups stay in place. In Britain, it is military intelligence; in Israel it is the Mossad. You can see our previous article here: Reality of US Policing.

What is of even larger concern is the way these violent acts are covered by the mainstream media. It is unconscionable in fact. These media empires with all their billions (admittedly they are worth far less than they once were) will not bother to send independent reporters to any of the Anglosphere’s far-flung wars. They will not even mention the atrocities that are carried out almost every day in the name of globalist nation building.

In Afghanistan and Iraq, US forces poisoned entire regions with depleted uranium dust from the weapons they chose to use. There areas of these countries where huge numbers of deformed babies are being born, so much so that doctors have reportedly told women to stop having children.

In Afghanistan, the murders of innocents go on with monotonous regularity. The UN speculates that eight Afghan civilians die EACH DAY in war-related violence. NATO claims many of these deaths are Taliban related, but NATO, the US and Britain have plenty of responsibility as well. Here’s the latest, as of yesterday from the Telegraph:

British helicopter gunship injures five children in Afghanistan … A British helicopter gunship wounded five children as it attacked insurgents in Helmand the Ministry of Defence has said. An average of eight civilians die each day in insurgency-related violence, the UN said earlier this month … The children were working in a field close to “positively identified insurgents” when they were injured by the British Apache helicopter. The five were taken to hospital in Camp Bastion, the main British base …

But a few weeks ago, Americans blew up nine children tending to goats on a hill. And civilian casualties seem to continue to rise – even as NATO troops finally abandon a war they cannot win.

Where does one draw the line between psychopaths acting alone (or perhaps within the context of government false flags) and deaths generated by wartime violence? Are Breivik’s crimes so much more heinous than dropping bombs on nine-year-olds, even by mistake? What about the trophy pictures that troops snap with their dead victims? Is that a kind of insanity? What happens to these people and their families when they return from war? (Think of Timothy McVeigh, a former decorated US soldier.)

This is another issue that has similarities to what has happened concerning central banking. Just as the central bankers in issuing trillions of dollars to bail out their friends and colleagues have undermined the credibility of the system itself, so the ongoing wars in the Middle East and Africa may have devalued the concept of civil society.

How can people take their own, domestic judicial systems serious when the state that levies their taxes is involved in four, five, six undeclared wars with dubious or seemingly false justifications? Violence is all around us, from movies, to television to the news – which brings us the reality of the violence without the physicality.

What Breivik did was horrific. Even more horrific is the idea he did it somehow with connivance of the state so that those opposed to overwhelming surges of Islamic immigration can now be castigated as murderous nutcases.

Conclusion: Why would those who stand behind the state want to make this point? Because government-organized immigration is yet another tool in the kit of an Anglosphere power elite that is intent on breaking down cultures and middles classes throughout the West. No one – nothing – must be allowed to stand in the way of global governance. Not even dozens of children gunned down on an island in the summer in Norway.

I managed to read much of Breivik’s manifesto before it disappeared from the Internet, and my considered opinion is that it was not the work of someone who is clinically insane. Extreme, yes. Misguided, yes. Insane, No. What he actually did by killing those youngsters is incomprehensible to most ‘normal’ people, in whose ranks I include myself, but as the Daily Bell article so cogently points out, there are many other atrocities occurring in this world on a daily basis, many of them officially government-sanctioned that do not cause even a ripple of the public emotion being poured out over those dead Norwegian youngsters and gleefully disseminated by the media.

To me, the point at issue is that as in all tragedies, the stage has to be set before the inevitable tragic consequences are acted out, and in this case, the political elite are the truly guilty ones. They are the ones who foisted multicululturalism on a population that was never consulted over about such a potentially explosive issue. They are the ones who now side with the criminals in society and penalise the innocent. They are the ones who have virtually destroyed the economies of many countries in the world, the results of which will probably lead to the deaths of millions more than Breivik could have killed in his whole lifetime. THEY are the ones who have trashed democracy. I hold no brief for what Breivik did, which was vile. However, although he may have pulled the trigger, his gun was bought, loaded and aimed by politicians. Their’s is the true guilt.

AGREE 100%!!!

Why are such people called right-wing nuts and the Liberal and others are not categorized. Was Stalin a right-wing nut or a left-wing nut? Was Mao a right-wing nut or a left-wing nut? These two murdered far more people? What about the one who poisioned most of his followers–leftwing nut or right-wing nut? Iguess if you are a Liberal every thing is a right-wing nut and if you are Conservative every thing is a left-wing nut!

Either it is al-Doo-Dah or it is a Lone Nut. Pretty well all previous Lone Nut theories have been taken to pieces though it takes time and research to do this. By this point the public has bought the Lone Nut theory and those who have connected some dots are labelled conspiracy theorists.

In this case we know from multiple witness reports that there was at least one other gunman described as not wearing a police unifrom and with black hair. Not very Norwegian but could be. Perhaps he was the “Handler”. These reports also appeared in British MSM for the first two days but have since dissappeared as they obviously do not fit in with the script.

As the report here says the MSM has sent no investigative journalists up to Norway to do some real investigative journalism. One wonders if they actually have any. They have lots of talking heads and bloggers most of whom spew out lies and propaganda and misinformation.

When you look to see who might have a motive to be involved in this then Israel is obviously a prime suspect given Norways increasingly strident support for a Palestinian State, their refusal to let Israeli Subs practice in Norway etc.

The damage done by the bomb appears fo be far more than a normal car bomb could achieve. based on previous similar events one can reasonably speculate that this was an Intel job of some kind that involved some kind of mind-programming and then downloading all kinds of propaganda on the Internet with other operatives in the media attacking anybody who dares to ask questions as Conspiracy Theorists.

Why is DB not mentioning this? This is everywhere on the ‘Net, by the way, so readers can choose a source that they like if this one is not appropriate…

“AUF WANT BOYCOTT: Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store was met by demands that Norway must recognize a Palestinian state when he visited the Labour Youth League summer camp at Utøya Thursday. Here the Minister ushered around in the camp of the AUF leader Eskil Pedersen. (Reuters)

During the second day of Labour Youth League summer camp at Utøya got the Labour Party’s young hopefuls visit by Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store.

Together with the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation correspondent Sidsel Wold and Norwegian People’s Aid Kirsten Belck-Olsen, discussed the Foreign Minister of the deadlock between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
As foreign minister arrived Utøya he was met with a demand from the AUF that Norway must recognize a Palestinian state.

– The Palestinians must have their own state, the occupation must end, the wall must be demolished and it must happen now, said the Foreign Minister to cheers from the audience.

Earlier this week, when Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas visited Norway, the Minister said to TV 2 news channel that Norway stands ready to recognize a Palestinian state . This he repeated during the debate on Utøya.

– We are ready to recognize a Palestinian state. I await the actual resolution text Palestinians will promote the UN General Assembly in September, said the Minister.”

In autumn it is expected that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will bring the matter to the UN. Where will he ask for UN membership and recognition of a Palestinian state within the borders before the 1967 war, with East Jerusalem as its capital.”

Thanks memehunter, this is very interesting indeed – unsurprisingly plausible motive…

I don’t know if it is relevant.

Personally, I don’t really care about the manifesto or even about Breivik for that matter. I try to focus on the bigger picture. I look at who or what could potentially have “a bone to pick” with Norway, and especially with the political stance that was endorsed by the people participating in this summer camp.

As I said, my conclusions could in theory be wrong, but it’s harder to be fooled by the big picture than by secondary details such as who was the killer and what was written in the manifesto. It’s hard to “fake” the political stance of a nation or of a group, especially when this stance is publicly known, but it’s easy to come up with manifestos, interesting details about the killer, etc…, that are simply leading us nowhere and confusing everyone.

@Joe:
Same as above, I don’t really care about what is written in the manifesto – I try to focus on the big picture.

memehunter: “I don’t know if it is relevant”

Most, if not all of the (manipulated or not) killing frenzies of the last decade seem to have a element of psychotropic drugs. Also, German soldiers took them during WW 2, Americans during the Vietnam War. IMHO it’s relevant

Good point. Look, I’m just trying to make sense of the event – including bigger picture AND details. Actually, on the day of the event, I posted a feedback here at DB with the follwing excerpt: “‘It’s becoming increasingly clear that the Coalition government chooses side when it comes to Israel and the Palestinians. By doing so, Norway weakens its ability to play a constructive role in contributing to a negotiated solution between the parties’, said Dagfinn Høybråten, the Christian Democratic Party’s (KrF) foreign policy spokesperson.”

“But you are not focusing on the bigger picture. You have concluded that the Mossad somehow used Breivik to send a message to “Norway” (whatever that is) that “Norway” should vote a certain way in the UN ….”

Well, aren’t the political repercussions of this vote a “bigger picture” than the content of the manifesto or details about the killer? I don’t follow. What is the “bigger picture”, then, if not that? There must have been some reason to attack this specific group of people in this particular country, no?

As I said, I could in theory be wrong with my analysis, but we have a clear motive for this attack when viewed from that angle. And, not that I need this to validate my viewpoint, but several others on the ‘Net have come up with a similar conclusion (some claim to have more evidence to back it up, interested readers can have a look – I’m not necessarily convinced and I have not read everything of course).

DB: “The act of writing about stimulants authenticates the document?”

Not at all.

But, apart from the fact that I started the post you referring to with the sentence, “Obviously, IF THE MANIFESTO IS AUTHENTIC, there is more to this “competence” than meets the eye”, the explicit and repeated writing about stimulants seems relevant, IMHO – authentic or not.

Posted by Joe on 07/27/11 07:00 AM

So one assumption is that the mossad did it, because of Norway’s support of the Palestinians and their anti-zionist stance? They not only attacked the left, but also implicated the ‘extreme’ right, and the manifesto spread the hatred of Islam.

I share DB’s doubts about all this, in particular I have noticed how special and incomplete and/or biased the reporting is. I would like to ask you all if you have noticed how there is no mention anywhere, not that I have noticed, of the number of wounded but not dead. In a small island with 600 youth in a sort of fair if you kill from 70 to 80 people you wound at least 400 not to say everybody in the island. I have asked everywhere I can comment in the press and I get no answer whatsoever. Not a peep. I hope you see this “detail” as not inconsecuential.

This latest bout of insanity by a previously unknown entity sickens me. I think that it is germane that you made mention of Timothy McVeigh but it seems that your mention was only in the context of a disturbed individual.

In my opinion the Oklahoma tragedy was the signature kick-off event that has brought us to where we are today ( arguably Waco could even have been a warmup for this). For those who have forgotten, the Murrah bombing singularly destroyed the militia movement in the USA. A children’s daycare centre was included in the carnage. I see parallels with Breivik.

Do people recall that McVeigh kept mentioning that he was micro-chipped and therefore mind-altered? Whether true or not, he seemed to be a poster boy for the respectable side of the militia movement and a perfect specimen to demonize. Good looking, ex-military, partial war hero etc.

Breivik could arguably be the European counterpart for destroying a potentially militant grassroots movement. He seems suspicious from the get-go. He might be the only person on facebook who’s photos are all studio produced as opposed to personal family snaps and the like. This compartmentalizes the subject and enables the media to spin the story as it evolves.

Breivik as McVeigh 2.0?

Posted by memehunter on 07/27/11 05:46 AM

After reading this piece of mainstream reporting on Norway’s support of Palestine, there is little doubt regarding the perpetrators (or at least masterminds) behind this horror and the motives and goals of the attack should be crystal clear: to intimidate and/or “punish” Norway because of its support of Palestine.

To be honest, I am disappointed that DB did not even mention this. Perhaps there are some truths that DB would rather not touch, but this is not a good idea in the long run given that we can always look elsewhere on the ‘Net.

One can argue that my conclusions could, in theory, be wrong, but one cannot deny Norway’s official stance regarding Palestine, a stance that was reiterated specifically when the Foreign Minister visited the Labour Youth League summer camp, which, to repeat myself, leaves little doubt regarding the purposes of this attack.

Posted by Justin on 07/27/11 05:34 AM

I saw a photo of this Breivik, he was armed with what looked to me like some pretty fancy weaponry, not the bolt action rifle available to your average Joe but stuff you either need a lot of money or nefarious connections to obtain.

I’m not condoning killing people but if he was ‘working’ alone he did a pretty competent job.
