A lengthy article, “Will Israel Attack Iran,” published in this week’s New York Times magazine confirms that Israel has made advanced preparations for military strikes on Iran. The author—Ronen Bergman, a well-connected political analyst with the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth—concluded: “After speaking to many senior Israeli leaders and chiefs of the military and the intelligence, I have come to believe that Israel will indeed strike Iran in 2012.”

Bergman corroborated previous articles in the Israeli press reporting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Ehud Barak have been pressing for the country’s security cabinet to authorise an attack on Iran. Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya’alon told Bergman last week: “It is a matter of months before the Iranians will be able to attain military nuclear capability… We are prepared to defend ourselves in any way and anywhere that we see fit.”

Claims that Iran is on the point of constructing a nuclear weapon are not supported by facts. The latest International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report—a political document designed to justify the latest US and European sanctions against Iran’s oil exports—provided limited evidence of Iranian research related to aspects of building a nuclear bomb. Much of the “evidence” came from US, European and Israeli intelligence sources. Most of the research projects were discontinued after 2003. Iran continues to deny any plans to build nuclear weapons.

Highlighting the bogus character of Israeli claims, veteran journalist Robert Fisk commented in the Independent: “The Israeli President [Peres] warns us that Iran is on the cusp of producing a nuclear weapon… Yet we reporters do not mention that Shimon Peres, as Israeli Prime Minister, said exactly the same thing in 1996… And we do not recall that the current Israeli PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, said in 1992 that Iran would have a nuclear bomb by 1999.”

The prominence given to the New York Times article suggests that Bergman is the conduit for a message from the Israeli establishment to pressure the Obama administration and more broadly the US ruling elites to take more aggressive action against Iran. The US and European Union have effectively imposed an embargo on Iranian oil exports, as well as the country’s central bank, to operate fully from July.

In a barrage of comments, senior Israeli figures this week called for tougher measures. Defence Minister Barak demanded “very strong and quick pressure on Iran,” repeating the lie that Iran was producing “nuclear weapons without hindrance.” Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz questioned whether the US/EU embargo was sufficient and called for “a massive blockade” of Iran by sea and air—itself an act of war under international law. Yesterday, former Israel Defence Force (IDF) chief Gabi Ashkenazi stressed that Israel had to “keep a reliable [military] option on the table with the willingness to use it if necessary.”

In Tuesday’s State of the Union speech, President Barack Obama boasted that his administration had ensured that Iran was “more isolated than ever before” and “faced with crippling sanctions.” He pointedly warned: “Let there be no doubt: America is determined to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, and I will take no options off the table to achieve that goal.” In other words, the US is prepared to launch war against Iran on the pretext of halting its nuclear programs.

Bergman’s article underlined the close collaboration between the US and Israel, and pointed to the likely timetable for an attack on Iran. Barak told the journalist that “no more than a year remains to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weaponry.” A senior Israeli security source declared: “The Americans tell us there is time, and we tell them that they only have about six to nine months more than we do, and that therefore the sanctions have to be brought to a culmination now, in order to exhaust that track.”

Bergman explained that the Israeli military, particularly since Barak became defence minister, “has prepared in unprecedented ways for a strike against Iran.” The Israeli Air Force “maintains planes with the long-range capacity required to deliver ordnance to targets in Iran, as well as unmanned aircraft capable of carrying bombs to those targets and remaining airborne for up to 48 hours.” The IDF had also prepared plans to deal with any Iranian retaliation.

The article detailed the criminal covert war of assassination and sabotage waged by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad inside Iran since 2004. Under Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Mossad was given “virtually unlimited funds and powers” for a “five-front strategy,” involving “political pressure, covert measures, proliferation, sanctions and regime change.” Mossad chief Meir Dagan sent a secret cable to Washington in August 2007 stressing that “the United States, Israel and like-minded countries must push on all five fronts in a simultaneous joint effort.”

The gangster-like operations of Mossad, acting with the complicity or involvement of the US, included financial sabotage, computer viruses, the sale of faulty parts and raw materials, unexplained plane crashes, explosions at Iranian facilities, and the murder of Iranian scientists, most recently of Professor Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan on January 11. The article indicated that Mossad had financed, armed and trained two groups—the Muhjahedin Khalq (MEK) and the Sunni extremist outfit Jundallah—to carry out the assassinations.

The barely disguised gloating over these crimes, in Bergman’s article and by Israeli leaders and officials, points to their real purpose—to goad Iran into retaliation that could provide for the further media demonisation of the regime and the pretext for war. This thuggery underlines the fact that the greatest danger of war in the Middle East stems from Israel, which has an estimated arsenal of 300 nuclear weapons and has repeatedly resorted to wars of aggression to maintain its dominance, and its backers in Washington, which has already invaded Afghanistan, then Iraq and is now menacing Iran.

While publicly the Obama administration has focussed on the “crippling sanctions” on Iran, it is also carrying out preparations for military action—a subject openly debated in US newspapers and journals. The Pentagon this month doubled the number of aircraft carrier battle groups near the Persian Gulf and thus its capacity to wage an air and sea war against Iran.

Washington’s allies in Europe are getting ready for war as well. French and British warships accompanied the aircraft carrier, the USS Abraham Lincoln, into the Gulf last Sunday. British Defence Secretary Philip Hammond declared on Monday: “The UK has a contingent capability to reinforce its presence in the region should at any time it be considered necessary to do so.”

By recklessly escalating the economic embargo and military threats against Iran, the US, Israel and the European powers are heightening the danger of a slide into war that has the potential to engulf the region and to spread internationally.

Devastatingly enough, our Western governments do nothing to stop the Jewish State. That should not take us by surprise: our politicians are largely funded and vetted by Israeli lobbies that openly support attack on Iran.

Here in Britain Defence Secretary Liam Fox had to resign two weeks ago when it became clear that he was ‘breaching ministerial laws’. The British press went out of its way to reduce the issue of his resignation into just another ‘gay-ish mini scandal’. But we actually have strong reason to believe that Fox was working intensively for Israel. He was enthusiastically advocating Israeli interests such as an attack on Iran. Together with his ‘best friend’ Adam Werritty, he was also funded by the Israeli lobby. We know also that Fox and his ‘flat mate’ Werritty were in direct contact with the Mossad, and were even warned by the MI6 about it.

But Fox was not alone: with 80% of our leading party’s MP’s being Conservative Friends Of Israel’s (CFI) members, we have good reason to believe that treachery is now institutional amongst UK elected politicians.

As we brace ourselves while learning from the Israeli press about the IAF’s final preparations ahead for an attack on Iran’s nuclear plants, I would like to share with you a short passage from The Wandering Who.

In the following extract, I explore the exact genocidal scenario that Israeli pilots are now training to accomplish, in these very days. As much as it is clear that our treacherous elected puppets will fail to restrain Israel, it is equally and tragically obvious that Israel lacks the means to restrain its own madness.

“…I will try to elucidate this idea through a simple and hypothetical yet horrifying war scenario. We, for instance, can envisage an horrific situation in which an Israeli so-called ‘pre-emptive’ attack on Iran escalates into a disastrous nuclear war, in which tens of millions of people perish. I guess that amongst the survivors of such a nightmare scenario, some may be bold enough to argue that ‘Hitler might had been right after all.’

The above is obviously a fictional scenario, and by no means a wishful one, yet such a vision of a ‘possible’ horrific development should restrain Israeli or Zionist aggression towards Iran. As we know, Israeli officials threaten to flatten Iran rather too often. In practice, pre-TSD* Israelis make this devastating scenario into a possible reality.

Seemingly, Israelis and Zionist politicians fail to see their own actions in the light of history. They fail to look at their actions in terms of their consequences. From an ethical perspective, the above ‘imaginary’ scenario is there to prevent Israel from attacking Iran. Yet, as we all know, Israel and its lobbies are desperate to dismantle the so-called ‘Iranian threat’. My explanation is simple. The Jewish state and the Jewish discourse in general are completely foreign to the notion of temporality. Israel is blinded to the consequences of its actions, it only thinks of its actions in terms of short-term pragmatism. Instead of temporality, Israel thinks in terms of an extended present.” (The Wandering Who pg. 179)

The Jewish State and its lobbies are the greatest threat to world peace. If we want to save ourselves, there is no other way of doing so than looking closely into Jewish, Israeli and Zionist culture, identity and ideology. There is no other way of doing so than scrutinising Israel’s unique and relentless attitude towards lobbying.

The issues we are dealing with here are not solely political they are actually deeply philosophical, psychological and sociological – and it is also about life and death.

Throughout its history, America glorified wars in the name of peace. From inception, they’re perpetuated against one or more domestic or foreign adversaries.

They include mass killing, assaults and abuse. Pacifism’s called sissy or unpatriotic. Propaganda insists America’s peace-loving. In fact, more than ever today, it’s addicted to permanent war and violence.

Nonetheless, initiating them requires public support. Famed US journalist Walter Lippmann coined the phrase “manufacture of consent.” It’s a euphemism for mind control.

In 1917, George Creel first used it successfully to turn pacifist Americans into raging German-haters. It works the same way now. In 1916, Woodrow Wilson was reelected on a pledge of: “He Kept Us Out of War.” Straightaway, he began planning US involvement.

In April 1917, he established the Committee on Public Information (CPI or Creel Committee). It operated through August 1919. Its mission was enlisting public support for war and undermining opposition sentiment.

Corporate America was so impressed, it recruited Edward Bernays, a nephew of Sigmund Freud. He became a PR/propaganda pioneer. His 1928 book titled “Propaganda” said it’s possible to “regiment the public mind every bit as much as an army regiments their bodies.”

“If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, is it not possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without their knowing about it?”

He called the technique the “engineering of consent.” He invented the press release. One of his most successful campaigns involved convincing women to smoke in public when it was considered taboo. He pursuaded business that news, not advertising, best manipulates public opinion.

He drew on Freudian psychoanalytic ideas. In an age of mass production, he believed techniques were needed to distribute ideas the same way. On behalf of United Fruit, his propaganda campaign helped overthrow Guatemala’s democratically elected Jacobo Arbenz Guzman.

His pioneering PR techniques got Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter to describe him and Ivy Lee as “professional poisoners of the public mind, exploiters of foolishness, fanaticism and self-interest.”

In his 1947 book titled, “The Engineering of Consent,” he called it “the very essence of the democratic process, the freedom to persuade and suggest.” In fact, it’s used manipulatively more for ill, than good, especially in selling war.

Australian-born social psychologist Alex Carey helped pioneer the study of corporate propaganda. His seminal work is titled, “Taking the Risk Out of Democracy: Corporate Propaganda versus Freedom and Liberty.”

He said “The twentieth century has been characterized by three developments of great political importance: the growth of democracy, the growth of corporate power, and the growth of corporate propaganda as a means of protecting corporate power against democracy.”

Using Deception to Launch Wars

Coalition to Oppose Arms Trade coordinator Richard Sanders said:

“Throughout history, war planners have used various forms of deception to trick their enemies. Because public support is so crucial (to wage war), the home population is also subject to deceitful stratagems. The creation of false excuses to justify going to war is a major first step in constructing public support….”

“The corporate media (are) central to the success of” manufacturing consent. So is repetition to blot out other narratives. Media giants and PR wizards are master mind manipulators, marshaling public support for war.

It works the same way every time. Truth is suppressed. Public fear is stoked. Patriotism and democratic values are highlighted. People are manipulated to support war to protect national security. Wilson claimed entering WW I “kept the world safe for democracy.”

During the WW II buildup, anti-war proponents were called subversives and Nazi sympathizers. Once begun, anti-German/Italian/Japanese propaganda censored media and other communications to enlist support. Other techniques included posters, advertising, comic books and cartoons, leaflets, and films extolling America and portraying the axis as bad guys.

Steven Casey’s ground-breaking book titled, “Selling the Korean War: Propaganda, Politics, and Public Opinion in the United States” analyzed Truman and Eisenhower administration efforts to shape public discourse, influence media coverage, and gain popular support for limited conflict and anti-Soviet Cold War policies.

He also showed how Truman officials redefined war as it continued with mounting casualties. His analysis used previously unavailable archives, including government documents, papers of leading congressmen, newspaper editors, and war correspondents. His book’s the definitive word on how public opinion was manipulated during America’s “forgotten war.”

Noam Chomsky calls the Vietnam War “a classic example of America’s propaganda system.” Major media scoundrels let doves and hawks debate, but “(b)oth sides agreed on one thing. We had a right to carry out aggression,” but refused to admit it took place.

America’s presence was called defense against enemy aggression. “Like the Soviets in Afghanistan, we tried to establish” a pro-US Saigon regime. Escalation led to invasion. Anti-war activists on principle were banned from public discourse. “The debate was essentially over tactics,” not legitimacy.

Over time, anti-war sentiment grew, especially after the January 1968 Tet Offensive and June 1971 Pentagon Papers release. They showed the Johnson administration lied to the public and Congress. Gallup Polls showed 70% of Americans thought Vietnam was “fundamentally wrong and immoral, not a mistake.”

Opposition produced the “Vietnam Syndrome.” Chomsky called it “a grave disease in the eyes of America’s elites because people understand too much.”

He also discussed months of propaganda preceding Congress voting on contra aid in March 1986. He reviewed 85 New York Times and Washington Post editorials and op-eds. All were anti-Sandanista. Opposition opinion was suppressed despite Nicaragua directing popular social services in contrast with repressive US allies Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador.

Of course, all wars are based on lies. When major media scoundrels suppress truth, administrations get away with murder.

It was true in Central America, Grenada on the pretext of rescuing medical students, manufactured incidents to oust Panama’s Manuel Noreiga, entrapping Saddam Hussein to invade Kuwait that launched the Gulf War, 9/11 as pretext to attack Afghanistan and continue a decade of imperial wars against nonbelligerent states.

In April 2007, Washington Post writer Tom Shales headlined, “A Media Role in Selling the War? No Question,” saying:

“It’s always depressing to learn that you’ve been had, but incalculably more so when the deception has resulted in thousands of Americans dying in the Iraq war effort” based on lies.

As in all wars, the more people rely on television for news, the less they know, and more susceptible they become to government and media propaganda.

In their book, “Weapons of Mass Deception: The Uses of Propaganda in Bush’s War on Iraq,” Sheldon Rampton and John Stauber showed how manipulative propaganda sold the public on war.

Combining PR and media deception, Operation: Iraqi Freedom was created. Deconstructing the process, they showed how top Bush officials planned war prior to his election, but waited until September 2002 for “product launch” to inform the public.

Using ‘big lie” tactics, they associated Saddam with 9/11, forged documents to allege WMDs, and worked secretly to create the opposition Iraqi National Congress (INC). The PR Rendon Group coined the term. It got millions in funding and worked closely with CIA operatives. It became a driving force for war.

“Weapons of Mass Deception” exposed how aggressive PR and manipulative media convince people to go along with policies harming their interests.

The Pentagon’s very much involved. It spends half a billion dollars selling wars. Truth’s suppressed doing it. Lies launch them and continue throughout conflicts. Anti-Syrian and Iranian rhetoric replicates what preceded attacking Iraq and Libya.

On January 16, Russia Today (RT.com) reported how major media scoundrels incite war on Iran. Appearing regularly on US television, hardline figures push it. Alternative voices are shut out.

Warmongering’s constant. On-air voices cheerlead it. Slanted news shuts out truth. Former MSNBC producer Jeff Cohen said pressure was constant to support war in the run-up to the Iraq invasion.

A Final Comment

Things remain the same. Deceptive reports manipulate the public mind on Syria and Iran. “There is no doubt that the mainstream media are crucial in this idea of selling that the US is going to be in a perpetual war.”

They’re key in making Americans believe military intervention is vital. Robert Parry said:

“I’ve worked at Newsweek as well (as AP) and other major US news organizations. And what I saw, especially at places like Newsweek, was this idea that the media was actually part of the establishment. It was that the American people were to be guided more than informed.”

In fact, “political solutions” are alien to America’s vocabulary. War profiteers demand jingoism. A century ago people were manipulated to accept war with Cuba. William Randolph Hearst hyped the big lie about Spain sinking the battleship Maine when, in fact, a coal bunker explosion did it.

Hearst, however, told his Havana illustrator: “You furnish the pictures, and I’ll furnish the war.” To this day, lies launch them. They’re all based on lies to get people to go along with what wouldn’t be possible otherwise.

Summary: The US/CFR NWO created EU is the model of the New World Order. So far it has used the ongoing Wall Street constructed global financial/economic crisis to consolidate its power by stealthily grabbing dictatorial power over the finances of all EU countries,as demanded by rOthschild agent, George Soros. Through the EU Stability and Competitiveness Pact and the European Semester, the EU has cunningly stolen the sovereignty of national states with the accept of their cronies of the national governments of the EU – but without telling or asking their peoples.

The henchmen of the corporative EU (Fascism acc. to Mussolini) are now doing their worst to sink their economically impossible political project, the euro, as does the US with their dollar. The goal is a one world currency to replace these regional currencies – just as stated by the father of the euro, Robert Mundell.

Many observers now predict the death of the euro during 2012. However, as long as the NWO vassal, Germany, can and will pay for the debts of the EU´s sinner members, the euro will live on. The problem is that the bail-outs of other EU states are only new loans for payments of interest on previous loans, whereby the loan takers sink deeper and deeper into the debt morass, poverty,austerity with beginning revolutions and dependence on primarily Germany in the so-called 4. Reich and the NWO IMF.

Now the banksters also run their self invented “rating agencies” who in intransparent ways downgrade the big majority of EU countries, thus making it more difficult and much more expensive for them to borrow money.

While there is a very big need for loans for investments to create the growth which Barroso is crowing about, the banks park such money with the European Central Bank, because the EU demands the banks to have a core capital of 8% at their disposal at any time. This is sound enough, but damages the creation of jobs, as do the incessant and ever increasing austerity measures imposed by the EU on its poorest member states and their steadily growing interest expenditures for the banksters.

This has now gone so far that investors are fleeing euro assets. The EU´s bail-out Fund, the EFSF, now needs more money and is dependent om Rothschild´s IMF for it. However, the IMF can only find 300 bn of the 500 dollars needed, so the EU must go hat in hand to Russia,China the US and the UK – all very reluctant to give.
Nevertheless, Barroso has obtained the call of the heads of government of the EU (except the UK) for more, not less of the brain sickness called the EU and more of the “EU method”, i.e. unconditional consensus/surrender to Barroso´s dictates per automaticity.

The EU promises growth, in particularly through “going green” combating manmade CO2 global warming, the biggest lie in history. However, the EU kills growth through taxes and austerity – which now even the IMF denounces as a hindrance to growth. France and Germany are preparing a new series of taxes to create growth – quite like the masonic snake biting its own tail. But why all this theatre? The New York Times now informs us that the ECB is printing money like never before, thus creating hyperinflation, distributing it secretly to defaulting EU countries – in spite of all promises to EU citizens.

This is the worst of it all: The euro has now deprived us all of the last remnants of sovereignty and democracy: “EU über alles und allen” seems to be the Motto. Or as Merkozy declare: “We will not pay for others´debts without controlling them”. Or as EU Council Pres., van Rompuy, puts it: “Voting is largely irrelevant when it comes to major issues.” So, the 52 percent of French people opposed to the proposed fiscal compact will not at all be listened to – as they also know from their referendum on the EU Constitution, alias the Lisbon Treaty.

But most clearly, the consensus dictatorship is demonstrated in the case of Hungary which is now being scolded and threatened to be dragged before the European Court of Justice for wanting to take its national bank out of the Rothschild/BIS dominance and nationalize it. This is what Gaddhafi,Iran North Korea, Syria have done – and are being punished for. The proletarian bulldog of the EU Parliament, the 1968 communist Cohn-Bendit, is now even using the worst of all invectives “antisemitism” against Hungary´s prime minister Orbán. Nonetheless, even a cosmopolitic Chabad rabbi states antisemitism to be less in the streets of Budapest than in Western Europe.
This in spite of the fact that Israeli President, Shimon Peres, openly tells that Jews are buying Hungary besides Poland, Romania and Manhattan!!!

The EU , Germany and France repeatedly negate the possibility of a euro collapse. I think they are right as long as the locomotive of the 4. Reich, Germany, can and will pay the debts of nearly all of the European vassal states. The EU was created by the US and its Council on Foreign Relations. The ongoing devastating worldwide economic crisis, which is ruining the colossus with feet of clay, the Euro, was also created by the US NWO, which is now even allowed to steal the gold reserves of debtor countries – sending their populations into eternal enslavement. And this is what is the EU goal – never let a good (selfmade) crisis go to waste. The London Telegraph 24 Nov. 2011: The markets starting to bet on a complete collapse, or break-up, of the euro. Suddenly, no-one wants to hold euro denominated assets of any variety, and that includes German bunds.

What we are witnessing is the death throes of a currency. It’s going to be anarchy. First there was the disastrous suggestion from Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy that if Greece didn’t buckle under it might be chucked out. Markets then sold bonds in any country that looked vulnerable, thereby making it much harder for governments to fund themselves.
The blunder was compounded by forcing banks to mark their sovereign debt to market. It forced banks for the first time to apply capital to their sovereign debt exposures. They stopped buying sovereign bonds, again making it harder for governments to fund themselves.

EUbusiness 18 Jan. 2012: Crisis-hit eurozone banks parked a record 528.18 billion euros ($675.60 billion) overnight at the European Central Bank. Banks have been stashing record sums almost daily at the ultra-safe ECB, nervous of lending to each other (thus hampering investments).
The Telegraph 25 Nov. 2011: British ministers privately warned that the break-up of the euro, once almost unthinkable, is now increasingly plausible.

Front Page Magazine 16 Jan. 2012: On Friday the 13th of Jan 2012, ratings agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) downgraded the credit status of nine European nations. The ratings of Cyprus, Italy, Portugal and Spain were lowered by two notches while Austria, France, Malta, Slovakia and Slovenia were lowered by one. Portugal’s debt has now reached “junk” status. Germany was the only EU nation to emerge from this latest downgrade completely unscathed.
14 other EU countries–Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, and Spain–were put on a “negative” outlook. Greece remains in mortal peril, along with the EU.

3. Estimations of the viability of the Euro
The Daily Mail 3 Dec. 2011: Jacques Delors, the former president of the European Commission, has claimed the euro was flawed from the start and efforts by European leaders to tackle its problems have so far been ‘too little, too late’. He did single out Germany for insisting the European Central Bank must not support debt-stricken members for fear of fuelling inflation.

Popular opposition EUObserver 15 Dec. 2011: A majority of French people are opposed to the recently agreed EU plans for a fiscal compact treaty, with opposition Socialist presidential candidate Francois Hollande calling for a renegotiation of the text. Some 52 percent of French people oppose the proposed fiscal compact.

5. Who is to pay?
Spiegel 28 Nov. 2011: Rescuing the euro depends on Germany, which merely has to abandon its resistance to pooling debt. But this sort of “liability union” would not only contradict the so-called no-bailout clause of the European treaties, but it would also be particularly dangerous for the Germans. The Germans only want to approve aid in return for strict conditions.
Of course, everybody is pressuring Germany to pay the debts of the EU sinner countries – and Germany will probably give in – for that country has been a vassal of the NWO since WWII, just like all the other EU countries now except Hungary.

EU Observer 15 Dec.: The US Federal Reserve has no plans to contribute to a bail-out of Europe, its chief, Ben Bernanke, told Republican senators.

EUObserver 18 Jan. 2012: The US-based International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking an extra $500 billion (€388bn) to help stem the eurozone crisis. The source of the new funds remains unclear, however. The IMF currently has about €300 billion in available funds, a sum considered far too low to contain the deteriorating euro crisis. Some US lawmakers are even pushing to revoke a $100 billion loan made to the IMF in 2009 for an emergency reserve. EUbusiness 15 Dec. 2011: Russia is willing to pump up to $20 billion .

6. The EU will introduce more and more austerity, poverty
José Barroso, EU Press Release 13 Dec. 2011: “I must also say that I was encouraged by the resolve of almost all member states (not the UK) to have more, not less integration, to make more and not less use of the Community method (consensus) and EU institutions, to work for more and not less coherence. There are two brand-new Commission proposals made on 23rd November under article 136, on further strengthening fiscal discipline.
I welcome, first of all, that member states have agreed to advance the entry into force to July 2012 of the permanent European Stability Mechanism. I hope that member states will confirm their commitment to provide the IMF with additional resources of up to 200 Billion Euros within the coming days. Acc. to The Express 24 Jan. 2012, the IMF needs 1 trillion pounds for bail-outs! The Spring European Council in March will discuss how to further deepen fiscal integration of the Euro area and stability bonds.

First of all, it includes a commitment to ensure that, as a general rule, national budgets shall at least be balanced – i.e. annual structural deficit is not to exceed 0,5% GDP. Member states commit to enshrine it at constitutional or equivalent level. And the Court of Justice will have competence to review proper transposition of this commitment. Euro area member states will commit to accept true automaticity for triggering the deficit procedure.
Green growth remains key to employment in Europe.

7. Goodbye sovereignty and democracy

The leaders of Germany and France declared a federalised Europe in a brand new EU treaty is the only way to solve the sovereign debt crisis gripping the continent.

The New American 5 Dec. 2011: Incredibly, the same day as the “democracy” summit with Masonic leaders, the EU’s appointed “President” Herman Van Rompuy emphasized that voting was largely irrelevant when it comes to major issues. “We have to show that the euro is an irreversible project.”
Barroso echoed those sentiments.

Deutsche Welle 18 Jan. 2012: The EU executive announced that it was taking Hungary to court over three contested constitutional reforms which it argues violate European Union law.The EU views the recently passed Hungarian legislation as threatening the independence of the country’s central bank, as well as the judicial system and its data protection authority.

EUbusiness 17 Jan. 2012: Brussels, backed by the European Central Bank and the IMF, fear that Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s reforms of Hungary’s central bank will cross a line in the sand by increasing political influence over the bank.
Possible sanctions consist of a fine and the loss of the rights to vote in the EU.

8. EU growth promotion: More money from taxpayers who will have still less for consumption – or the story of the snake eating its own tail – and “green technology” (see item 6) through fraudulent combating of an increase from preindustrial 0.027% to now 0.037 % of atmospheric CO2 , the gas of life, although manmade CO2 only constitutes 1% of this tiny fraction of atmospheric CO2.

EUObserver 20 Jan. 2012: After Standard & Poor’s recent downgrade of nine euro-countries, including France, in which the ratings agency warned that austerity and budget cuts are not the way out of recession, Paris and Berlin have teamed up once more and drafted a six-page paper called “Ways out of the crisis – strengthen growth now!” to be presented to the EU Council. 2 items are the Tobin finance tax and an energy tax and a “common consolidated corporate tax base”. Another controversial proposal would have 25 % of unspent EU regional funds redirected to a special “fund for growth and competitiveness.” Labour taxes should be lowered throughout Europe, cross-border employment spurred.
But why all this theater? The New York Times 20. Jan. 2012: The ECB is secretly printing money like never before, distributing it to distressed €-Members, whereby it is on the shortest way to create inflation – (again robbery from citizens with savings, who receive no interest on their deposits. Yet another broken promise to EU citizens).

Hungary is now being maltreated by the model of the Pharisaic/Talmudic New World Order, the EU, because it resists being bought by these Pharisees – acc. to Israel´s president. Nationalizing the Central bank owned by the Talmudic NWO leader, the Rothschild dynasty is exactly the way to prevent such a sale.
The banksters are betting on the break-up of the euro. This is the most certain way to predict its demise: Of course they will do anything to have their gains. Negative talking through their corporative media and a former EU Commission President (Delors) will foster further distrust in the common currency. But most efficient: The banksters´ self-appointed rating agencies simply lower their ratings of nearly all EU countries – scaring investors away.
Then the EU insisted a reinforcement of the Basel II decision of no less 8% core capital, which due to the Mark to Market rule can make a fund or a bank like Bear Stearns technically insolvent from day to day in an uncertain market. At least this will make banks less willing to loan money for uncertain investments, as will the fact that the banks were ordered to write off 50 percent of Greek debt – roughly 100 billion euros. The final outcome even seems to be 60–70% written off. The banks can also thank themselves for that.

Moreover, the banks are taking even more money out of the investment market by parking a large part of their remaining money in the ECB! The EU is using its money on bail-outs to defaulting countries in order that the latter can pay the banksters, who led them into misery and have taken over governmental revenues for years, their interest, not for new investments, at the cost of European tax payers – thereby sending the defaulting countries into more debt morass. The IMF seemingly has great difficulties in finding money for beefing up the EU´s EFSF, which has just been downgraded from AAA to AA+. The EU is going begging in Russia and China – as well as in the US, but no one seems willing to pay for the sinking euro-ship. And what doe the banksters do with their booty? They place not only at the ECB but first and foremost in their off-shore banks, where the banksters hide 18 trillion dollars, at least.

The purpose of this theatre is to create ecomomic dominance over all of the EU – as demanded by Rothschild agent George Soros – by means of a common Treasury in Brussels. In reality, the EU is doing its worst to stifle growth and its best to kill the euro to pave the way for the NWO global currency. A parallel mismanagemant of the dollar for the same purpose is also taking place. But even worse: The first victim in this game is democracy. As EU Council Pres. van Rompuy says: “Voting is largely irrelevant when it comes to major issues.” And the “married couple” Merkel and Sarkozy add: “We will not pay for others´ debts without controlling them”.

Summary: The world is out of its mind. A Danish Minister of Defence in a small previously peace-loving country declares “Denmark is to fight a lot of wars in the future”, doing what his party fellows 25 years ago called “adventurism”, trying to prevent NATO´s setting up advanced rockets by its footnote policy, apparently to prevent the fall of the Soviet Union. What has changed is, that Denmark is no longer a nation state, having given all its sovereignty to the NWO´s EU and NATO.

Even US officials and the think tank which guides the US and the EU on Iran´s nuclear weapon efforts (the ISIS) think that Iran is about to construct a nuclear bomb ( but Iran already has 4-5 nuclear bombs, bought from Ukraine). Even Israeli Defence Minister, Ehud Barak, does not seem to believe in that danger. Nevertheless, he now says, it is urgent to stop Iran! Maybe because his most senior intelligence officials now say Iran´s threats of apocalyptic retaliation is just bluff!!! Bombing Iran´s now subterranean nuclear bomb plants would maximally set Iran´s nuclear program 1-2 years back, Netanyahu thinks 4-5 years. However, it does seem that Israel would like to see the Strait of Hormus closed in order to make oil prices skyrocket, This would bring enormous gains on Israel´s very big stock of oil futures.

The NATO is, of course, the arm of the US – and would be dragged into a conflict in the Persian Gulf – which could escalate dramatically. So, NATO´Secretary General, my former Prime Minister, who has also grown war-mad on behalf of the NWO, is very worried at Iranian leadership statements – as he was on Libya! But NATO has also hijacked the UN Secretary General in 2008, making itself the worldwide executor of the will of the UN Secretary general, who is no more than Rockefeller´s/ USA´s puppet adopting the will of those forces as his own will. And even Worse, in its 2007 strategy paper “Towards a Grand Strategy for an Uncertain World“, (its internet address is that of the CSIS – the Brzezinski think tank, the man behind the “Grand Chessboard strategy to encircle Russia) the NATO repeatedly claims its right to deliver preemptive nuclear attacks on its enemies without UN permission! – and this may also soon be necessary for the US defence minister and officials say, the conventional US-Super bombs cannot destroy Irans subterranean nuclear plants.
Needless to say that Israel since 2005 is a de facto integrated member of NATO.

There are many belligerent declarations: The Daily Mail 24 Jan. 2012: “West gives Iran “Final” warning. Professor Paul Stevens, Chatham House, said an oil blockade was unlikely to succeed. DEBKAfile 22 Jan. 2012: US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta on Jan. 22 carried an US ultimatum to Tehran: Submit to nuclear diplomacy by March or face up to “Big E” in Hormuz and the full might of the US carrier fleet. MJ Rosenberg in Al Jazeera 4 Dec. 2011: “It is about preserving the regional balance of power, which means ensuring that Israel remains the region’s military powerhouse, with Saudi Arabia playing a supporting role. That requires overthrowing the Iranian regime and replacing it with one that will do our bidding (like the Shah) and will not, in any way, prevent Israel from operating with a free reign throughout the region. This goal can only be achieved through outside intervention (war).”

However, the inclination to attack an Iran with (bought) nuclear bombs and supported by Russia and China is not great – in spite of the ongoing sabre rattling. Probably greatest with fanatic Doomsday Antiamalekite, Benyamin Netanyahu, who is said by people who know him to be the worst possible man to lead any country: He has an ambition to become the last prime minister of Israel!!! One sign of that is that Israel is paralyzed for the moment over the appointment of a new Airforce chief: Hawkish Netanyahu wants the hawk Yochanan Locker, who wants to attack Iran. IDF-leader Benny Gantz wants a dove – but will have to obey Netanyahu. The game now seems to be to have Iran make a serious mistake to provide Israel with a causa belli. Many expect a false flag operatin to be performed (like 9/11, Tonkin Bay, Pearl Harbour etc.).

However, I find it most likely that Syria is next for “humanitarian reasons” based on forged casulaty numbers in the armed rebellion against Assad. This might force Iran out to help its partner – and then it could be attacked. But an attack on Russia´s ally, Syria, is a very daring enterprise.

The situation in the Middle East is very confusing: Sabre rattling and louder war threats. But dare the hostile parties unleash the daemon of war? Here is very alarming news from the New York Times 26 Jan. 2012: Israel’s most senior intelligence officials, conclude that the threat of Iranian retaliation is partly bluff. They do not think that a military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities would set off a catastrophic set of events like a regional conflagration, widespread acts of terrorism and sky-high oil prices. They are playing an important role in Israel’s calculation of whether ultimately to strike Iran.
HAARETZ 27 Jan. 2012 Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Friday the world must quickly stop Iran. It seems to us to be urgent, because the Iranians are deliberately drifting into what we call an immunity zone where practically no surgical operation could block them,” he said.
IAEA chief Yukiya Amano: Our best information “indicates that Iran has engaged in activities relevant to nuclear explosive devices.” “The onus is on Iran,” said UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon”. They have to prove themselves that their nuclear development program is genuinely for peaceful purposes, which they have not done yet.”

The following remark by the Danish Minister of Defence, Nick Haekkerup: “Denmark will participate in lots of conflicts – also militarily – in the future” (thanks to balder blog) makes me very alert.

The conflict with Iran is not about nuclear weapons – as little as the Iraq war was about “weapons of mass destructions” and the Libyan war about “genocide”.
HAARETZ 26 Jan. 2012 (Israel): “No evidence has emerged that the Iranian regime has decided to build nuclear weapons.”Iran is unlikely to move toward building a nuclear weapon this year because it does not yet have the capability to produce enough weapon-grade uranium, and in great part because it is deterred from doing so,” a draft report by the Institute for Science and International Security said.
The institute has advised U.S. and foreign governments about Iran’s nuclear capabilities and its founder, David Albright, is considered a respected expert on the issue. U.S. officials agree with Albright.
Among possible policy options for halting Iran’s nuclear program, one of the least likely to be successful is a military attack on its nuclear program, according to the institute’s report.

The EU oil embargo on Iran is now hitting the EU as a boomerang: Iran is passing legislation to ban oil supplies to Europe immediately, this bringing several EU countries into serious trouble.

This principle does not, however, rule out the necessary adaptation of existing international law (i.e. without UN mandate) to the changing international environment. What is needed is a policy of deterrence by proactive denial, in which pre-emption is a form of reaction when a threat is imminent.”

DEBKAfile 22 Jan. 2012: US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta on Jan. 22 carried an US ultimatum to Tehran: Submit to nuclear diplomacy by March or face up to “Big E” in Hormuz and the full might of the US carrier fleet. His statement gave Iran a time frame for responding to the US ultimatum, just over a month. On Friday, Jan. 20, Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint US Chiefs of Staff, visited Israel. The Netanyahu government complained that action against Iran had been postponed for years on one pretext on another, and the same thing was happening to effective sanctions against Iran’s oil exports and central bank. Israel was therefore compelled to exercise its military option against the mortal peril of a nuclear Iran, before it was too late, said the Israeli prime minister .

What is actually going on behind the stage in the Middle East? One day we hear of imminent war in the Middle East – the next day the HAARETZ 18 Jan. 2012 MoD Ehud Barak states: Israel is ‘very far off’ from decision on Iran attack. Israel also believes the Iranian regime now faces an unprecedented threat to its stability, which for the first time combines both external and internal pressure: from abroad, increasingly harsh sanctions and threats of military action, and at home, economic distress and worries about the results of the parliamentary election scheduled for March (which will surely be rigged).

Now we have been told that Iran and its ally, Syria are very dangerous because they are producing nuclear weapons of mass destruction (yes it´s right: Syria is also being suspected of experimenting with nuclear weapons!). We were told that we all had to take a war on us which may develop into WWIII to save Israel from extinction and to save the poor armed Syrian rebels against dictator Assad and the majority of his population – on the basis of exaggerated casualty figures derived from a one eyed London antigovernmental propaganda office.
But suddenly the mighty powerful neoconservative think tank, the American Enterprise Institute, comes forward to tell us something very different: The problem with Iran is not that they are producing nuclear bombs to bomb Israel – but that they may stop short of doing it, thereby seemingly being decent people protected from destruction by international opinion. He urged action before it was too late to stop Iran completing the construction of a nuclear weapon. Netanyahu therefore stands by his refusal of President Barack Obama’s demand for a commitment to abstain from a unilateral strike on Iran’s nuclear sites without prior notice to Washington. UK riots: paratroopers are trained in riot control

British troops are being trained in riot control tactics amid fears that violence and looting will return to Britain’s streets this summer.

Hundreds of soldiers from 3rd battalion The Parachute Regiment spent last week learning how to contain and arrest “rioters” in a series of exercises mirroring last summers violence.

Defence sources have confirmed that if violence were to return to British cities, especially during the Olympic Games, the Paras would be “ideally placed” to provide “short-term” support to police forces around the UK.

Such a request would have to be made by the Home Office and would have to have Prime Ministerial approval, according to the source.

During the exercises at the Lydd training base in Kent, the elite troops were pelted with petrol bombs and missiles and “fought” running battles with gangs of protesters as part of the battalion’s “public order training”.

The battalion is the lead unit in the Airborne Task Force – the Army’s premier rapid response unit and can be called on to deal with a wide range of emergency situations – from hostage rescue to riot control – around the world.

Sources have stressed however that being riot-trained does not necessarily mean the Paras will be deployed onto British street in the event of future wide-scale public disorder; instead the move was described as “prudent contingency planning”.

There is not understood to have been a specific request from the Home Office or police for the training to be carried out.

The riot training could be used if soldiers were called in to evacuate British nationals or embassies in the face of public disorder in a foreign country.

In the past, riot training was carried out by all troops deploying to Northern Ireland where public disturbances were commonplace. But those skills have been lost following the withdrawal of troops from the streets of the province.

But it is understood that commanders of units likely to be deployed into public order environments have been must have troops ready to be able to deal with all military and civil emergencies.

As well as 3 Para, the Army has another unit known as the “Public Order Battalion”, also trained to deal with rioting, bringing the total number of troops to around 1500.

During last week’s training package soldiers were taught how to use body-length use riots shields, protect themselves from missiles and how to identify and arrest “ring leaders’ using specially trained “snatch squads”.

Troops were trained into how to work as teams armed with body-length shields in driving back hostile crowds. The exercise culminated in a full scale riot with fellow soldiers acting as aggressors.

Major Richard Todd, the officer commanding A Coy 3 Para, said: “Learning how to deal with public order situations is a new skill for on a challenging and extremely realistic course.

“Many of the drills are no different to what the Roman Army used to do, with highly disciplined soldiers advancing forward under the protection of shields.

“The key to dealing with large, hostile crowds is control and knowing when and how to react to what is happening in front of you.

“This training is about getting soldiers used to facing a high pressure situation so they don’t overreact if they have to face it for real.”

Private Peter Harrington, 19, who was also taking part in the exercise added: “It is scary to have petrol bombs thrown at you and really gets the adrenaline going.

“I’ve had the experience of it now and learnt that dealing with public order incidents is all about looking out for each other and keeping a cool head.”

Last summer’s rioting was sparked by the police shooting of Mark Duggan in Tottenham. The violence quickly spread across London and to other cities where police attacked with fire bombs, shops were looted and businesses burnt to the ground.

The violence, which saw home owners being forced to jump from burning buildings, led to calls for the Army to be deployed on to the streets to support the police.

One senior source said: “The police couldn’t cope with last year’s riots and the Army came very close to being deployed.

“All of the Army’s riot equipment was in Scotland at the time and that created a time delay but lessons from that have been learnt. The Army could have deployed but it would have been only marginally quicker than the police.

“Soldiers would have powers of arrest and would be entitled to defend themselves using minimum force. It is unlikely they would be armed but that would be an option if the situation deteriorated.

“They would almost certainly deploy with baton rounds, which are discriminate and, if used correctly, non-lethal.”

The riots were the were the worst for a generation and caused over £300m of damage. Hundreds of shops and warehouses were looted as gangs of youth organised attacks via twitter and other social media sites.

The number and spontaneity of the riots often meant that police from forces across the country, but especially in London, were stretched to the limit and in some cases unable to cope.

Local residents were forced to form vigilante groups to protect their communities after confidence in the police evaporated.

The LAPD described activities that included black helicopters hovering about downtown bank buildings as a special ops urban warfare drill. The public was not allowed to view the closed exercises, though the military ensured that effort was made to avoid inconvenience for daily routines.

A rash of cheating on exams has driven some schools to implement a drastic measure– the collection of ‘digital DNA’ from students and the issuance of special ID cards for those taking SAT or ACT college entrance tests.

Meanwhile, cheats in government skipped out on more than $3.4 billion in taxes, according to a new report from IRS records. Those records show that employees of the federal government (both current and former) as well as military personnel owed a combined $3,420,168,684 in unpaid taxes.

Oklahoma State Senator Ralph Shortey hopes to stop Pepsi from using aborted fetus cells in soda flavoring research through his proposed legislation. He opposes the use of aborted embryonic cells to create “isolated human taste receptors, and hopes to discourage the research before it becomes common practice. There is a new bill that the United States government has successfully passed. It is called the Stop Online Piracy Act, or (SOPA) for short. Also known as The Protect IP Act of 2011. The US Congressional Budget Office estimates that implementation of the bill would cost the federal government 47 million dollars through 2016. Translated into plain english, It will cost tax payers 47 million dollars over the next 4 years.
The SOPA act will censor you from accessing certain websites and block all access to other areas of the internet that the United States government does not want you to access.

The SOPA act essentually means, that even if you make a video of your child playing or singing and you have music playing in the background, or video on TV, you are breaking the law, and the government will order the websites that host your content to censor your content because of their new bill. Or if you visit websites that are on servers not in the United States you will be blocked so that you cannot access them.

Ask yourselves, Who really owns the internet?

The answer is simple: no one actually owns the Internet, and no single person, organization or government controls the Internet in its entirety. It is more of a concept than an actual tangible entity, and the Internet relies on a physical infrastructure that connects networks to other networks. There are many organizations, corporations, governments, schools, private citizens and service providers that all own pieces of the infrastructure that make up the internet, but there is no one entity that owns it all. How can the US government decide to block access to parts of the internet that the US government does not even own? The SOPA act is a direct violation to people’s right to freedom of knowlege and information, And for that violation the United States government is a disgrace to the land of the free, The free that every United States soldier has fought or died for. The United States government is essentually telling the people of the United States that they are free to do as the government tells them. If people do not follow their rules they will arrest them for making an attempt to learn. But the government will tell the media that these people are getting arrested for acts of treason, domestic terrorism, or internet piracy.
As for the United States government. Who gave you the right to regulate the people’s right to think outside the box and use the internet as they see fit? If we cut off global internet, shouldn’t we also cut off all foreign affairs? Should we hinder globalization completely? Perhaps all other World Trade Centers are acts of terrorism by existing, as they use the Internet for commerce. The ambiguity of this bill should terrify you.

While Charles Ray – the US envoy here [Zimbabwe] – portrays himself as the face of the free world, a champion of human rights and democracy, and has been vociferous about his country’s role in the Libyan invasion, it turns out that just like Vietnam and other illegal wars before it, Libya is turning into a major embarrassment for Uncle Sam.

A report released last week by human rights groups in the Middle East presents extensive evidence of war crimes carried out in Libya by the United States, NATO and their proxy “rebel” forces during last year’s invasion, that culminated in the murder of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.

The “Report of the Independent Civil Society fact-finding Mission to Libya” presents findings of an investigation carried out last November by the Arab Organisation for Human Rights, together with the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights and the International Legal Assistance Consortium.

Based on interviews with victims of war crimes as well as with witnesses and Libyan officials in Tripoli, Zawiya, Sibrata, Khoms, Zliten, Misrata, Tawergha and Sirte, the report calls for the investigation of evidence that NATO targeted civilian sites, causing many deaths and injuries.

Civilian facilities targeted by NATO bombs and missiles included schools, government buildings, at least one food warehouse, and private homes.

The report also presents evidence of systematic murder, torture, expulsion and abuse of suspected Gaddafi loyalists by the NATO-backed “rebel” forces of the National Transitional Council. It describes the forced expulsion of the mostly black-skinned inhabitants of Tawergha and the ongoing persecution of sub-Saharan migrant workers by forces allied to the NTC and its transitional government.

The investigators report savage and repeated beatings of prisoners held without trial or charges, the summary execution of pro-Gaddafi fighters, and witness reports of “indiscriminate and retaliatory murders, including the ‘slaughter’ (i.e., throat slitting) of former combatants.”

The report exposes the human rights and democratic pretexts employed by the US, France, Britain and their NATO accomplices to carry out a colonial-style war of conquest. It makes clear that UN Security Council Resolution 1973, imposing a “no-fly zone” and arms embargo on Libya supposedly to protect civilians from repressive actions by Muammar Gaddafi, was in fact used to carry out a ruthless air war waged in co-ordination with “rebel” forces on the ground.

The report suggests that soon after the outbreak of anti-Gaddafi protests in Benghazi and other cities, opposition forces were receiving training from Western armed forces as well as weapons from NATO powers and allied Arab states. Opposition to Gaddafi that erupted last February following the fall of Mubarak in Egypt was rapidly taken into hand by the US, France, Britain and their agents within Libya to launch a pro-imperialist invasion.

As the report states: “From first-hand information available to the Mission, and secondary sources, it appears that NATO participated in what could be classified as offensive actions undertaken by the opposition forces, including, for example, attacks on towns and cities held by Gaddafi forces.

Equally, the choice of certain targets, such as a regional food warehouse, raises prima facie questions regarding the role of such attacks with respect to the protection of civilians.”

The report gives only the palest picture of a brutal onslaught whose purpose was to turn the clock back 43 years to the conditions that prevailed under the US-UK stooge King Idris, who turned the country’s oil resources over to American and British conglomerates and allowed the two powers to maintain large military bases on Libyan soil. The mass destruction and killing, which culminated in the levelling of Sirte and lynching of Gaddafi, make the UN-sanctioned claims of a war for “human rights” and the “protection of civilians” not only absurd, but obscene.

The rape of Libya was the Anglo-Saxons response to the revolutionary uprisings that ousted long-time pro-Western regimes in Tunisia and Egypt, two countries that border Libya. The aim of the invasion was to impose complete control on the country’s oil resources, divert and suppress the growth of working class struggles throughout North Africa and the Middle East, and deal a blow to China and Russia, which had established close economic relations with the Gaddafi regime.

The war destroyed Libya. The NTC – an unstable coalition of ex-Gaddafi regime officials, Islamists, including some with links to Al Qaeda, and Western intelligence assets – itself estimates that the invasion claimed 50,000 lives and injured another 50,000. Rising infighting between the NTC’s factions is opening the door to full-scale civil war between rival clan-based and regional militias.

Just this weekend, amid warnings from NTC Chairman Mustafa Abdel Jalil of looming civil war, a crowd demanding the resignation of the transitional government forced its way into the NTC’s headquarters in Benghazi. Abdel Hafiz Ghoga, the vice president of the NTC, promptly resigned.

The report on US-NATO war crimes is also a further indictment of the assortment of “left” parties, intellectuals and academics who parroted the human rights pretexts of Washington and NATO and thus gave open or backhanded support to the invasion of Libya.

And still, the so-called International Criminal Court is deafeningly silent.

Doctors Without Borders says it halts work in Libyan city’s prisons because of torture

BENGHAZI, Libya — Doctors Without Borders has suspended its work in prisons in the Libyan city of Misrata because it said torture was so rampant that some detainees were brought for care only to make them fit for further interrogation, the group said Thursday.

The announcement was compounded by a statement from Amnesty International saying it has recorded widespread prisoner abuse in other cities as well, leading to the death of several inmates.

The allegations, which come more than three months after former leader Moammar Gadhafi was captured and killed, were an embarrassment to the governing National Transitional Council, which is struggling to establish its authority in the divided nation.

Doctors Without Borders said that since August, its medical teams have treated 115 people in Misrata who bore torture-related wounds, including cigarette burns, heavy bruising, bone fractures, tissue burns from electric shocks and kidney failure from beatings. Two detainees died after being interrogated, the group’s general director said.

“Patients were brought to us in the middle of interrogation for medical care, in order to make them fit for further interrogation. This is unacceptable,” MSF general director Christopher Stokes said in a statement. “Our role is to provide medical care to war casualties and sick detainees, not to repeatedly treat the same patients between torture sessions.”

Libya’s Western-backed leadership, which has sought to assure the world of its commitment to democracy and human rights, has acknowledged that some prisoners held by revolutionary forces have been abused. It insisted the mistreatment was not systematic and pledged to tackle the problem.
But the transitional government has been unable to rein in the dozens of militias that arose during the war and have been reluctant to disband or submit to central authority.

Amnesty International said in a statement issued Thursday that it has met with a number of detainees in Tripoli, Misrata, and Gharyan who showed visible marks indicating torture, including open wounds on the head, limbs, back and other parts of the body. A number of detainees spoke to Amnesty about beatings with electric cables and metal chains, and they reported being suspended in contorted positions and given electric shocks.

The London-based group said the torture and mistreatment, mostly against suspected Gadhafi loyalists and sometimes foreign nationals from sub-Saharan African countries, is carried out by officially recognized military and security bodies as well as by a number of armed militias operating outside any legal framework. The group said several detainees died in custody from torture, detailing the death of at least two detainees.

Britain, which played a key role in the NATO-led air campaign that helped revolutionary forces overthrow Gadhafi, urged the new regime to “live up to the high standards they have set themselves.”
“They need to ensure a zero tolerance policy on abuse. We are concerned about these reports and are taking them up with the Libyans as a matter of urgency,” British Prime Minister David Cameron’s office said in a statement.

The head of Amnesty International told The Associated Press the mistreatment of detainees in Libya showed the need for the international community to keep helping the country in its difficult transition. “It’s not just a matter of sending in troops and then getting out again. Libya needs long term assistance,” Salil Shetty said.

Stokes, of the MSF, told The Associated Press that those subjected to torture include ex-combatants and people accused of theft and looting.

“There is a significant number of people with darker skin, but there is really a wide mix,” he said. “Whatever the motives, it is unacceptable to do this to human beings.”

The interrogations were carried out by Libya’s National Army Security Service at facilities outside the detention centers, MSF said in a statement.

The group, which operates in prisons but not interrogation centers, said it contacted authorities in Misrata, the port city that saw some of the fiercest fighting of the war, to demand an end to the abuse, but it received no official response, prompting MSF to halt its operations in the city’s detention centers.

MSF said it will continue its support in Misrata hospitals and schools in addition to providing assistance to African migrants, refugees and internally displaced people in and around Tripoli.

In its statement, MSF said the most alarming case was on Jan. 3, when MSF doctors treated a group of 14 detainees returning from an interrogation center. It said nine of the detainees had numerous injuries, including broken arms and renal failure, and displayed obvious signs of torture.

Stokes said his group has informed the National Army Security Service that a number of patients needed to be transferred to hospitals for urgent and specialized care. All but one of the detainees were deprived of further medical care and hospitalization, and instead taken back to interrogation centers.
“Some of them couldn’t even stand up, they were so badly beaten,” he said.

“The torture is being carried out by officially recognized military and security entities, as well as by a multitude of armed militias operating outside any legal framework,” the statement reads.

Medecins Sans Frontieres has suspended its work in Libya’s third-largest city Misrata over similar claims.

The group says it encountered formidable obstacles it could not overcome. Burns from electric shocks and cigarettes, heavy bruising and renal failure — all this, evidence of continuing torture of prisoners, the organization says.

When two more inmates died after beatings, the international group halted its mission in protest.

Detainees from Libya’s civil war held by revolutionary brigades continue to be subjected to torture despite efforts by the provisional government to address the issue, the UN human rights chief said on Wednesday.

Navi Pillay told the UN Security Council she was extremely concerned about thousands of prisoners, most of them accused of being loyalists of the toppled government of late Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi and many from sub-Saharan Africa.

“The lack of oversight by the central authorities creates an environment conducive to torture and ill-treatment,” Pillay said. “My staff have received alarming reports that this is happening in places of detention that they have visited.”

She said it was urgent that all Libya’s detention centers be brought under control of the Libyan Ministry of Justice and the General Prosecutor’s Office, and that detainees be screened so that they could be freed or receive a fair trial.

LIBYA’S regular army and array of militias have been torturing loyalists of slain dictator Muammar Gaddafi.

Human rights groups made the charge yesterday, adding that several of the Gaddafi supporters have died in custody.

Amnesty International said that despite promises, Libya’s new rulers have made “no progress to stop the use of torture”, as Doctors Without Borders suspended its work in the third-largest city Misrata over similar claims.

Their accusations come after a top UN official raised concerns that militias composed of former rebels who helped topple Gaddafi were posing an increasing security risk as they repeatedly clashed with each other.

“Several detainees have died after being subjected to torture in Libya in recent weeks and months amid widespread torture and ill-treatment of suspected pro-Gaddafi fighters and loyalists,” London-based Amnesty said in a statement.

“Mitt Romney believes that it is unacceptable for Iran to possess a nuclear weapon… In his first 100 days, [he will] make clear that the military option is on the table by ordering the regular presence of an aircraft carrier task force in both the Eastern Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf region simultaneously. He will also begin talks with Israel to increase military coordination and assistance and enhance intelligence sharing.”[21]

“Governor Mitt Romney raised the prospect of wiretapping mosques and conducting surveillance of foreign students in Massachusetts, as he issued a broad call yesterday for the federal government to devote far more money and attention to domestic intelligence gathering.”[22]

“As President, on my first day in office, I will issue an executive order directing the US Embassy in Israel to be moved to Jerusalem as provided for in the legislation I introduced in Congress in 1995… The United States should explicitly reject the concept of a right of return for Palestinian refugees.”[2]

On January 6, 2012, Gingrich’s super PAC received a $5 million contribution from Sheldon Adelson, a billionaire with close ties to the far right in Israel. Adelson publicly approved of Gingrich’s statement that Palestinians are an ‘invented people.’[3]

War against Iran

Bombing Iranian nuclear sites, as some suggest, is “a fantasy,” he said, because many are underground. Instead, the United States must seek “regime change” in Tehran.[4]

“Unless they unilaterally disarm their entire system, we are going to replace [the Iranian] regime. We’re ideally going to do it non-militarily, but we are not going to tolerate an Iranian nuclear weapon.”[5]

“We need a strategy, as Rick Santorum was saying, of being honest about radical Islam and designing a strategy to defeat it wherever it happens to exist.”[6]

“The United States is ‘about where we were in 1946’ up against the Soviet Union, he said recently,” suggesting a possible decades-long Cold War with the Muslim world.[7]

“We are engaged in a long war against radical Islamism… a powerful and organized ideology within Islamic thought that is totally incompatible with the modern world.”[8]

On the PATRIOT Act: “I think looking at it carefully and extending it and building an honest understanding that all of us will be in danger for the rest of our lives… I’d look at strengthening it, because I think the dangers are literally that great.”[9]

“Our policies of intervention and manipulation in Iran and Iraq and other places have led to unintended consequences and have not made Israel safer. Many in the Jewish community share my opinion, and it’s vital for both nations that we continue to have an open dialogue.”[33]

“I would treat [Israel/Palestine] like the rest of the world. I’d want to be friends. I wouldn’t want to interfere. I wouldn’t send money. I would let people sort out their problems.”[34]

War against Iran

“We’re involved in wars in Afghanistan, we’re escalating the war there. We’re pretending the war is over in Iraq, which it is not, and it’s draining us. It’s draining us emotionally, certainly it’s draining us financially, and as this whole area blows up, where are we even going to get the funds to keep this militarism going? And yet nobody in Washington’s really considering… cutting back on the world empire.”[35]

Ron Paul told Iowa voters in December that he would not launch a preemptive strike on Iran because “they don’t threaten our national security.”[36]

Regarding war against Iran, Paul said in a GOP debate in November, “I’m afraid what’s going on right now is similar to the war propaganda that went on against Iraq.”[37]

Civil Liberties

“Everything we have done in response to the 9-11 attacks, from the Patriot Act to the war in Iraq, has reduced freedom in America.”[38]

If elected, Ron Paul pledges to “guarantee our intelligence community’s efforts are directed toward legitimate threats and not spying on innocent Americans through unconstitutional power grabs like the Patriot Act” and “prevent the TSA from forcing Americans to either be groped or ogled just to travel on an airplane and ultimately abolish the unconstitutional agency.”[39]

“I think the Patriot Act is unpatriotic because it undermines our liberty… our early founders were very clear. They said, don’t be willing to sacrifice liberty for security… You can still provide security without sacrificing our Bill of Rights.”[40]

News Media Policy.
My introduction and my efforts to run for any political position in NH is controlled by news media policy to protect the public from someone like me that a special class in this civilized society of NH tells the public that I am a danger. It is the peoples Constitutional right to decide the uncensored truth from what the individual candidate has to say. To have a news media that blocks the citizens of NH from being informed voters freely and with out editorial control is the basic foundation of what our forefathers built the USA on. I am a 100% disabled US Marine with four service connected disabilities. I may not be the best choice to be on the Oyster River School board but that should be a majority of the voters that de…cide. The News Media can claim my letters are libelous but they are read world wide on the web every day because they are factual and the truth. I volunteered several times a week in schools around NH for twenty years until NH declared me a terrorist and took my freedom for six months under the Patriot Act. The bogus charges were dropped but I could no longer volunteer to help our children. The news media and NH government block the public from my opinion letters to protect public officials with good reputations that have committed criminal acts.
As a volunteer helping a Madbury NH family, we took a case of criminal wrongs to the NH Supreme Court. Judge Peter Fauver criminally violated the Constitution to enable the Madbury NH selectmen to take from local residents for the selectmen’s own personal gain using the trusted power of government. The NH SC refused to hear the case. Governor Lynch made me pay money to speak with him of these government wrongs. I have the receipt but the governor refuses to speak with this voter. The Constitutional crimes and cover-ups by NH trusted government officials from the NH Supreme Court down are sanctioned by the news media to protect that special class of citizens. I ran for NH State Senate last election but the voters were censored to protect the public from a danger being elected. The truth is a powerful weapon as long as Hitler like media control is not implemented to rain power to dominate the uninformed voter.
I have attempted suicide as recently as the other day while in a flashback of my USMC tour. PTSD combined with TBI along with my broken back injury from during a Vietnam Offensive and my loss of hearing from another offensive go untreated as our government stopped my VA medical care to stop my free speech. This is the exact reason the news media was given Constitutional protection as our forefathers saw the need for Freedom of the Press. Using any individual’s health to control is a criminal act that a civilized society cannot tolerate.
This is a letter that may not help me get elected but it is the truth and well-informed voters must be made aware of the complete truth.
I ask for your vote this coming election to teach our children the true meaning of what the USA stands for.

Its not just NH, its everywhere. I ran for office twice and the local media demonized me to no end. The lies, distortions were enough to make one sick. A friend of mine ran for congress a few years ago. She was given a list of questions and Answers from the Jewish Community Center. Prior to tha meeting she was beating the repuke by 10%. At the forum they asked her, “Do you support Israel”. She said, “I am a researcher before I support any foreign government I would have to do research to determine whether or not they needed US aid”. That was the end of her. The next day the zionists started robo calls up and down the state, “so and so will not stand with Israel”. She won the democratic primary but lost to the zionist owned republican. Now how is it possible that zionists and Jews make up 2% of the voting public, yet they control ALL our elections whether city, county, state or federal?

Rick MarinoI suggest several books for those interested in learning how we as American voters have been misled regarding the USA’s involvement with Israel for over 60 years. George Ball was previously the undersecretary to Kennedy and wrote a book “The Passionate Attachment” published in 1992. The book details many of Israel’s actions over the past 50 years and the truth underlying the lies purposefully fed us. For example, Israel knew the USS Liberty was an American vessel before they attacked it so to blind the USA in their effort to violate a cease fire and overruun Golan. Israel’s official response was they thought the vessel was an Egyptian warship. Details in Ball’s book explains otherwise. Eisenhower learned of Israel’s plan to take over the Suez Canal and though could not get Congressional support for fear of reprisal by Israel’s l…obbying groups toward Congressmen, George Ball notes Eisenhower stood toe to toe with Israel on his own. Eisenhower has been the ONLY president up to Bush with the “mojo” to do so. Ball’s book shows the maps of land allotments since the UNSCOP’s “Palestine Mandate” in 1947. For example, there were 1,350,000 Arabs and 650,000 Jewish inhabitants in 1947. Though the Arabs occupied 94% of the land and represented two-thirds of the population at the time, Arabs (Palestinians) were only premitted 44% of the land in the 1947 UN partition plan. Details in book include horrible acts by Israeli commandos such as the Deir Yassin massacre and jeeps backing up in the middle of the night with loud speakers and barrel bombs to roll down the main street and force Palestinians to flee to neighboring lands in the middle of the night. Ball revisits one of the most damaging traitors in US history Jonathan Pollard and how Israel was implicated in his actions.

Unless we as Americans are permitted to know the truth we can never employ our individual convictions of right and wrong to know who to support and when. What we are often left with are predominantly half-wit comments by most our TV hosts and political spins by politicians who, by a long stretch, are hardly recognizable as OUR politicians any longer. Reading this book will help all those who do so gain a deeper understanding of how our government causes us immeasurable harm when we spend money for foreign aid that filters back to lobbying groups that bribe and intimidate elected officials. A book “Blowback” by Chalmers Johnson further details the potential harm to the USA by inappropriately supporting other countries or intruding where we shouldn’t be doing so. Noam Chomsky’s “911″ further questions our actions since 911 and how wrongfully our government has steered our nation. I also suggest the book published by John Mearsheimer “The Israel Lobby” who includes strong arguments on how the Israel’s lobbyists have actually caused more harm for Israel than expected and explains why’s there’s such an upswell within Israel’s population rank who are rethinking a strategy that has only perpetuated a continued sense of insecurity for the Jews and the Arab’s continued feeling of injustice and dispossession. Booyah!

Our democracy depends on more informed voters making the right decisions for us and no longer for the privileged few amongst us. I support Ron Paul’s notion we can’t afford to maintain our role as a policeman around the world. Let us ALL protect and defend the US Constitution, as we are ALL sworn to do as US Citizens or members of the military. And that INCLUDES against ALL enemies Foreign AND DOMESTIC. We have domestic enemies and have had for almost 100 years. They are growing closer to their goal of complete domination and usurpation of the US Constitution. Seeing as 300 million people are too spineless to do anything about this Zionist takeover of their country , to apathetic to do anything about the Patriot Act and Indefinite Detention , I sincerely hope they can at least tick Ron Paul’s box come election time(it’s the LEAST they can do) ! As for the Militia warnings on youtube , all they have done is embolden the Zionists . They have repeatedly warned of an imminent reprisal if their calls for freedom and justice are ignored , well , the Razor wire gates are about to be slammed shut on their asses and not a squeak from them . The kids in the OWS they swore to protect are still being shot at with Tear Gas canisters , still dragged along the pavement and thrown into the Paddy Wagons and not a word . Profile of a Rogue State

America’s unmatched globally. However, pound for pound, based on size, its policies, and regional threat, Israel stands out.

Daily, its crimes against humanity continue. On January 23, Jerusalem police arrested two Palestinian officials, Khaled Abu Arafeh and Mohammed Totah.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said both men were wanted for unspecified “Hamas activities” with no further comment.

Hamas, of course, is Palestine’s legitimate government. Israel and America spuriously call it a terrorist organization. Hamas spokesman Mushir al-Masri said arresting both men was a “Zionist crime.” Palestine’s parliament hasn’t functioned since Hamas and Fatah split in 2007.

Both men were arrested at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Sheikh Jarrah offices. For the past 18 months, they sought refuge there protesting Israel’s illegal deportation orders after their ID cards were revoked.

Abu Arafah served as Hamas minister for Jerusalem affairs. Totah’s a Hamas PLC representative. Months earlier, Hamas legislator Mahmoud Atoun was arrested. He also sought ICRC refuge.

Hamas parliamentarians are repeatedly targeted. Around two dozen remain imprisoned. Twenty are uncharged under administrative detention. At one time, 40 Hamas PLC members were lawlessly incarcerated for belonging to the wrong party, not any crimes they committed.

On January 19, Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) Aziz Dweik was arrested for alleged terrorist connections. Despite a thinly veiled lie, a military court on January 24 ordered him detained uncharged for six months.

On January 20, lawmaker Khaled Tafesh was arrested and detained at Ofer Prison.

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) condemned Israel’s actions. It called them “a plan to undermine the results of the (January 2006) Palestinian legislative elections (and) to abort the Palestinian reconciliations efforts.”

PCHR also called them Fourth Geneva-prohibited collective punishment. It demanded immediate release of those held, strongly condemned storming ICRC’s office, and said doing so violated international humanitarian law.

Israel falsely claimed ICRC’s office has no diplomatic status, making it fair game for Israeli lawlessness.

Israel’s War on Hamas

On January 25, Jerusalem Post writer Khaled Abu Toameh headlined, “Israel has declared war on Hamas in West Bank,” saying:

In the past few days alone, five Hamas PLC members were arrested. “Early Tuesday, IDF soldiers arrested Abdel Jabbar Fukaha, a Hamas legislator, in Ramallah and confiscated documents, a laptop and mobile phones from his home.”

His wife said their son Mujahed was summoned to appear Sunday for interrogation. After serving a four-month sentence, Fukaha was released from Israeli prison in February 2011.

“In a related development, Hamas legislators in Tulkarm said on Tuesday that an Israeli security official phoned them and ordered them to close their office immediately. Fathi Qarawi and Riad Raddad said it was the second threat received in the past month.”

It’s part of an Israeli campaign to destroy Hamas, they believe, adding:

“Israel has declared war on Hamas. But we won’t be deterred and we will continue to fulfill our duties.”

Hamas leaders believe Israel’s trying to sabotage reconciliation with Fatah and foil planned May parliamentary and presidential elections. It wouldn’t be the first time strong-arm Israeli tactics subverted Palestinian elections and other legitimate activities.

Hamas spokesman Mushir al-Masri denounced Israeli’s scheme, saying:

“Israel thinks that the arrests will destroy Hamas’ chances of winning the elections. On the contrary, these measures will only increase (our) popularity.”

He also called on human rights organizations to intervene and pressure Israel to release lawlessly detained “legislators who were elected by the people in a democratic vote.”

Lawless Home Demolitions, Land Theft and Dispossessions

Among other rogue policies, home demolitions and land theft define Israeli repression. On January 23, East Anata’s bedouin compound was bulldozed and destroyed for the fifth time.

The Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD) calls it “a living symbol of resistance to Occupation and the desire for justice and peace.”

ICAHD’s Itay Ephshtain said:

“People are somber, traumatized and grief stricken. Nearly 100 people are out in the elements now on a cold night. Children, babies, mothers, fathers. Some of us from ICAHD did try to block the bulldozer, but were beaten back by soldiers.”

In fact, Epshtain was personally beaten and sustained minor injuries.

Called Beit Arabiya, the site was home to Arabiya Shawemreh, her husband Salim and seven children. Their home was previously destroyed four times.

Each time, ICAHD, Palestinians, and international peace activists rebuilt it. Now it’s again gone. On January 23 around 11PM, a bulldozer accompanied by soldiers arrived. Beit Arabiya as well as other residential and agricultural structures in Arab al-Jahalin Bedouin compound were destroyed.

Beit Arabiya initially got a demolition order in 1994. At issue was failing to get a building permit on their own land. ICAHD Director Jeff Halper vowed to help Salim and Arabiya rebuild, saying:

“We shall rebuild. We must rebuild forthwith as an act of political defiance of the occupation and protracted oppression of Palestinians.”

“ICAHD is as determined as always to rebuild the home, and endure in its struggle to bring about justice and peace.”

Salim and Arabiya dedicated their home to Rachael Corrie and Nuha Sweidan. Both women, an American and Palestinian, were murdered resisting Gaza home demolitions.

Weeks earlier on December 6, The UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights called on Israel to cease house demolitions, forced evictions, and residency revocations.

ICAHD’s publication “No Home, No Homeland” highlights the issue. It estimates about 26,000 Palestinian homes destroyed since June 1967 for “punitive, land clearing/military, and administrative” reasons.

On Occupied Palestinian land, doing so violates international law. Israel spurns it. As a result, Palestinian suffering continues. Women and children are especially affected. Forced displacement further harms them. ICAHD called 2011 a record year.

World leaders turn a blind eye. Israeli officials are green-lighted to commit crimes with impunity. They take full advantage.

Obama’s “Ironclad” Commitment

In his January 24 State of the Union address, Obama highlighted his unwavering support, saying:

“Our ironclad commitment to Israel’s security has meant the closest military cooperation between our two countries in history.”

Among other ways, it’s reflected in billions in military aid and regular increased amounts. In August 2007, Bush increased it by $6 billion over the next decade. Despite budget constraints, Obama added more.

In FY 2012 alone, an additional $236 million will help develop three Israeli missile programs: Arrow-2, David’s Sling, and Arrow 3. Israel already gets over $3 billion annually, plus unknown add-ons if requested.

“If Americans knew” reports that while Israel gets “at least $8.2 million each day in military aid,” Palestinians get zero.

A Final Comment

On January 22, London Guardian writer Harriet Sherwood headlined, “The Palestinian children – alone and bewildered – in Israel’s Al Jalame” Prison, saying:

Young children are physically and verbally abused. It’s nightmarish. Cell 36 and others like it are “where Palestinian children are locked in solitary confinement for days or even weeks. One 16-year-old” said he’d been isolated for 65 days.

Cells are “barely wider than the thin, dirty mattress that covers the floor. Behind a low concrete wall is a squat toilet, the stench from which has no escape in the windowless room. The rough concrete walls deter idle leaning; the constant overhead light inhibits sleep.”

Low-quality food arrives through door flaps, depriving children of human contact. Brutal interrogations break the monotony. Shackled hands and feet to a chair for hours, they’re questioned.

Most often, their alleged “crime” is stone-throwing. Most deny doing it. Physical and verbal abuse follow. Many face sleep deprivation exhaustion. “Day after day they are fettered to the chair, then returned to solitary confinement. In the end, many sign confessions” in desperation. Later they say they were coerced.

As many as 700 Palestinian children are arrested annually. Some are 10 or younger. Mistreatment is extreme. Emotional trauma results.

According to Nader Abu Amsha, director of Beit Sahour’s YMCA juvenile rehab program:

“(F)amilies think that when (their) child is released, it’s the end of the problem. We tell them (it’s only) the beginning. You see children who are totally broken. It’s painful to see the pain of these children, to see how much they are squeezed by the Israeli system.”

It’s more evidence of rogue Israeli lawlessness. Imprisoned Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti told Maan News that conflict and abuses will continue until Israel ends occupation and withdraws to pre-1967 borders.

He believes Palestinian national unity and nonviolent resistance stand the best chance of achieving it.

Barghouti’s a prisoner of conscience serving five consecutive life sentences plus 40 years for wanting to live free. Free or imprisoned, he symbolizes hope. Supporters hope he’ll be freed one day to lead them.
