WESTERN GOVERNMENTS MUST ACT TO STOP THE CALLS FOR JEWISH ANNIHILATION

I single out Western governments because Islamic governments promote, finance and export the vile Jew hatred that is in the Koran. But we are not Islamic or medieval ….. we are an advanced civilization that stands for and exalts the civilized man.

Wiesenthal Centre to Interior Ministers of France, United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Greece: “The Terror of Gaza Must Not Be Transplanted to Your Cities, and Your Jewish Communities Must Be Defended from Further Assaults”

Paris, 7 January 2009

In letters to the Interior Ministers of France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Greece, the Simon Wiesenthal Centre’s Director for International Relations, Dr Shimon Samuels, expressed “grave concern at the increasingly threatening situation for Jewish communities in your country and across Europe. Pro-Hamas demonstrations are encouraging extremists to take direct action against the nearest communal institutions, synagogues and Jewish passersby.”

The letter continued, “The banners and invective of demonstrators are degenerating to calls for violence against your Jewish citizens. Indeed, those calls reflect such incitement ‘to murder Jewish children worldwide’ from Hamas senior officials, disseminated in Arabic and European translations on Jihadist websites and Middle East satellite television.”

Samuels stressed that “European Muslim leaders must condemn such voices and admit that Hamas and its allies endanger their own youth, by sowing among them not only hate for Jews, but a revulsion for Western values and for their own moderates.”

The letter noted, “Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak has advised European diplomats that ‘Hamas must not be allowed to win this war’ for the sake of peace in the region and for Europe’s own wellbeing”, adding, “this means, Mr/Madam Minister, that the terror of Gaza must not be allowed to be transplanted to your cities.”

The Centre called on each Minister “to monitor and prosecute all calls for, and acts of, antisemitic violence while, simultaneously, reinforcing security in Jewish neighbourhoods and around community institutions.”

“Calls for violence, and assaults, so far in Metz, Toulon, Auber, the Paris and London suburbs, Brussels and Antwerp, Berlin and Frankfurt, Stockholm, Odense, and on the Volos synagogue in Greece, must be treated as warnings and not be permitted by your respective governments to become precedents. Your Jewish communities must be defended from further assaults,” concluded Samuels.

Anti-Semitism and Incitement to Kill Jews on Canadian Streets – Your Silence is Deafening!

Dear Prime Minister Harper, Conservative Ministers, Mr. Ignatieff and Ministers within the Liberal Party:

Throughout the west there have been numerous anti-Israeli protests due to the conflict in Gaza. I do not begrudge individuals the right to express their dissent. However, during these protests, lines have been crossed, and criminal acts have been committed. Vile anti-Semitism is rampant in every demonstration, including those on Canadian streets. It is a disgrace that Canadian politicians have remained silent, and are tolerating obscene remarks such as Death to All Jews; Jews to the Ovens; Annihilate all Jews; and Kill a Jew, etc. In a recent Toronto rally the following remarks were made: “This will wipe you off the face of the earth”; and “How much Gazan blood did you drink today” which feeds into the blood libel about Jews. Last but not least, the following statement was directed towards a Jewish kid – “Jewish child you are gonna fuckin die!” (I apologize for the obscenity – but that was the statement.)

Leaders are supposed to set the mood of the country, and stand up for what is right. Yet, to date, all of your voices have been deafeningly silent. In neglecting to address overt anti-Semitism, and calls for the death of Jews, you are sanctioning these sentiments. Unwittingly you have sent a message that it doesn’t matter what one says or does to Jews, politicians don’t care enough to speak out in their defense. Before our eyes, Jews in Canada (and throughout the west) are being marginalized, as they were during the 30’s. Jews, including young kids, their homes and Jewish businesses have been attacked. Each and every one of us has a duty to ensure that history does not repeat itself. Remaining silent, sets the stage for another Holocaust.

Let me remind you that Jews have contributed to Canada in countless ways. Yet, politicians are repaying the Jewish community by turning a blind eye to such overt hatred, and incitement to kill. Jews have worked hard, obeyed our laws, helped to build this country, and your respective political parties, in positive ways. I assure you that Islamic fascists will never contribute to Canada in the way Jews have. Islamic fascists are determined to destroy everyone, (including Secular Muslims) and everything else that doesn’t conform to their Supremacist Ideology. Are you going to remain silent, and forsake worthwhile contributing Jewish citizens, in favor of Islamic Nazi thugs? If so, then you are turning your backs on Jews, and this country. If you continue to ignore these problems, then Canada’s future is bleak.

I strongly urge each and every one of you, regardless of your political persuasion, to stand up, do what is right, and make it clear that such sentiments will not be tolerated in Canada. Work together, cross party lines, and make joint statements, with your key party members standing beside each of you, and send out a strong message that anti-Semitism, and incitement to kill Jews will not be tolerated on Canadian streets.

I have not included Jack Layton, or the NDP Party in this e-mail. I see no point, as they continue to show through their actions, that they now serve the Islamic fascist agenda.

Below please find a letter sent by the Simon Wiesenthal Center demanding that European countries protect the Jewish community. If you remain silent on this matter, Canada should be the recipient of a similar letter.
